Harper and Griffin are hiding from their parents looking at them close up the hatch before jess and Ben have a little talk about their children.
"There growing up so fast" jess said. Ben flashes a smile at her.
"No kidding." He says not to long after. Jess then confessed something she hasn't told anyone before.
"I used to worry about Harper not having any close friends. Then she met Griffin," she says as Harper gives off an "oh damn" face as Jess continues. "and now they're inseparable." Seeing how personal that comment was Ben then asked her a question.
"Things going to fast for you?"
"I don't know. It's only natural, I suppose-" then as she says then next few words griffin now realized something he was worried about for a while.
"-First Crush and all."
"I'm sure it won't last. They'll grow out of it, just like they do with their pants and T-shirts." Ben jokes
"Or not, and it'll last forever." Jess also jokes not knowing what the future holds.
"If only we could look into the future and find out." Ben says.
"If only. Better get back" Jess says now leaving the area and Ben following her.
"Did you hear any of that?" Harper asks in a soft voice. Griffin was originally going to lie but he wanted to confirm if what Jess said was true. But the real reason, he truly liked Harper. He just didn't know if she liked him.
"Uh... yea. All of it." He says as Harpers eyes widened and she blushes like crazy.
"So it's true? Ms. Harper Marie Dunn likes Griffin Campbell?" He jokes while still confronting her.
"Yep very true! It's just Dunn doesn't know if Campbell likes her back." She admits.
They now sit in silence to the point where you can hear the crickets loud and clear. Griffin knew this wasn't the right moment to do what he wanted to do. So he changed the topic.
"We'll um..., we still gotta figure out the significance of 1947." He says.
"Yeah. But without the portal, it isn't gonna be easy." She says
"Yeah" Griffin replied looking down as Harper walked away disappointed with the fact that her question was ignored.
