In the Far East, there is a civil war. What if the strongest samurai escapes this chaos and starts a new life? Will he find happiness or will his guilt follow him forever?
The sky is dark, there is a mist that makes the field more gloomy. The ground is red and there are more than twenty bodies laying with no signs of life. But there is someone standing at the top of a big rock covered by the blood. The mysterious person is a child but if you looked more closely you would be able to see that the child is Izou Okada.
Izou is a tall nine-year-old child with brown eyes and black long hair that has been put in a ponytail. He wears a black hakama. In his hands, he holds his two precious swords Kikoutei and Shikouken.
Izou is a samurai but from the famous warrior clan Okada and his family is known for their excellent samurai over the years. Izou was a prodigy and he was trained from a young age to be stealthy and stronger than everyone else.
Izou belonged to the Amaterasu Familia and he was also a Level 3 samurai.
You may be asking how a young 9-year-old kid was level 3. The answer is not very pleasant, the Far East was at civil war and the two sides were the Amaterasu Familia with the Susanno Familia, in the others hand the enemy was Amatsu-Mikaboshi Familia, Raijin Familia, Fujin Familia, and some other smaller familias.
The war broke out because Amatsu-Mikaboshi wanted to be the ruler of the island, many people got his side and a three-year bloody civil war broke out with thousands of dead people and a few gods killed.
Izou and his family were members of the Amaterasu Familia but his entire clan took the side of Amatsu-Mikaboshi. Amaterasu ordered the prodigy to kill his parents and his whole clan because he was the only one from the clan that took her side.
Izou completed his mission successfully. But this was not his last one as Amaterasu ordered him other countless missions. Izou in the past three years had killed more than 200 people earning him the alias of "Manslayer".This didn't stop Izou from obeying his orders and he even got happy that everyone knew him for his power, as his dream was to become the strongest in the world and defeat the great monster Yamata-No-Orochi.
Now this mission was his last, the war had ended because he just killed all the captains of the enemy familias.
Izou: Finally after three years this war will be over, now I can leave this country.
Izou then cleared his blades using the clothes of the dead bodies and started to run toward the capital in order to report.
After 3 hours of constant running, he finally reached his destination, The Royal Palace, this place was known as the home of Amaterasu and her samurais.
Izou goes towards the personal room of the goddess in order to talk to her privately.
He is outside of the room, he is going to knock but he hears a beautiful voice calling him.
Amaterasu: Come in Izou-kun.
Izou opens the door and he sees Amaterasu with her maids. Amaterasu sees the blood on the clothes of the young boy and he is serious.
