Courtney ran back with Gwen. "Ruby and Jude, come with me." Gwen spoke. We followed Gwen to an egg chair. "We have a story to tell you." Gwen spoke. We sat together in front of the egg chair.
"This happened to me before. Last year, On this day, I was one of the 5 children. They choose 5 kids a year. Last year, I went into the office with Izzy, Beth, Owen and Noah. We were given an injection. A few minutes later, we fell asleep in Chef's office. When we woke up, we were in a room of torture. We all survived but this year, I heard that at least 1 person will die." Gwen told.
We looked at her in disgust. "I hope we are not chosen." Jude worried. Owen ran up to us. "Hey Jude and Ruby, do you want to do something "funny" with us?" Owen asked. "Why not?" I replied. Jude agreed and we went with Owen. We met up with Noah.
"I have an idea!" Noah spoke. We looked at him, then followed him. Chef's car? Noah invited Duncan to join in and we all started beating up his car. That was actually fun. Chef caught us though. "MY CAR!!!" He screamed. We snuck back inside.
Afterwards, We heard the intercom. "Can these 5 children come to the office for the flu jab." The intercom spoke. To be continued...
