Jenna and Emma were thrilled to be witnessing the premiere of the most anticipated horror film of the year. They had made a pact to not spoil the movie for each other, but it was clear that Emma couldn't contain her fear.

As the credits rolled in and the lights dimmed, the movie began with a slow build-up. There were some jump scares here and there, but nothing too terrifying. As the plot thickened, things started getting intense, and Emma's breathing became erratic.

Jenna could feel Emma's hand trembling beside her, so she took hold of it and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry, it's just a movie," she whispered, hoping to calm her girlfriend down.

Suddenly, the screen went black, and the room erupted into chaos. The audience screamed as masked assailants burst out from behind the curtains, armed with knives and machetes. Jenna and Emma froze in terror, unsure of what to do.

The attackers swarmed the theater, stabbing anyone in their path. Jenna and Emma huddled together and tried to make themselves as small as possible. They didn't know how long they were lying there until the police arrived and the attackers fled.

Miraculously, Jenna and Emma survived the attack, but they were both traumatized by the experience. It would take them months of therapy to come to terms with what happened.

They never did find out who was responsible, or why they targeted the moviegoers that night. But one thing was certain: they would never forget the horror they witnessed, and they would never take their safety for granted again.
