Falling down to the abyss

Yet, selfish motives moved you
Your actions rubbed salt to the injury
Leaving us seething in pain
I know you’ve been hurt
But, why do you seek revenge?
Revenge will not do you good.
It only leaves scars
I am not angry with you
What I feel is deep anguish
Anguish beyond compare
Our dreams are now in shambles.
The feeling of uncertainty
Uncertain if we can still live up to our dreams
Dreams that are now in silhouettes
Almost distant and seems so far away
My fervent prayer
Is that this cycle of hurt ends
that we might find wisdom
and hope for better days to come
