International Law had prohibited the genetic experimentation on the human genome for years, due to civil right.
But one day, the law expires, and a genetic laboratory creates something they cannot contain. Humans who have unlocked parts of life that shouldn't have been touched.
This is what happens when we try to play god.

Prologue

The air was crisp.
Not clean, as no city's air ever was, but the cool air rushed through his lungs, cleansing it with its crispness, but still not clean.
A suited man, tall, wearing aviator shades to cover his eyes, and make him more conspicuous, stood on a street corner, staring upwards at the side of a building. His gaze soon left the building, and refocused on the doorway, as he entered. He passed by a security kiosk, and swiped a card across it's face, granting him access. He then entered an elevator, tapped a button, and the elevator began to descend.
Once the elevator reached the bottom, the doors opened to a long corridor with a large metal door at it's end. The suited man stepped out of the elevator, and began to walk towards the door. As he neared it, the sound of voices and machine humming could be heard. Upon opening the large metal door, the volume of the voices and machine humming increased, and the door opened to a room full of scientists. The scientists were milling about, moving from console to console. In one corner, several scientists were congregated around one scientist, giving him clipboards of information. The suited man walked over to the group, and as some of the scientists saw him, they quickly moved off and went back to work. The main scientist the noticed the suited man.
"Ah! Welcome! Right on time, as usual. How come my client couldn't be here on this occasion?"
"Your client could not attend as he was indisposed when he got the news of your early finish, so he sent me here."
"Of course of course!" The scientist said nervously, "I'm sure my client is a busy man. Would you like me to show you around?"
"Doctor, I have been here exactly 14 times in the past. I was not here to sightsee. Show me what I came here for."
"Of course of course!" The scientist said, laughing nervously. "Right this way!" The scientist began walking towards the back of the room, where several glass cylinders were on display. Each one was filled with blue-ish liquid, and suspended in each was the dark silhouette of a person, with tubes and wires running to their bodies.
"How are they progressing?" The suited man asked.
"Very well!" The scientist responded. "As you may be aware, they are actually progressing faster than we originally anticipated. A couple were showing signs of decreased mental capacity compared to the others, but all of them have higher mental capacities than the smartest humans on earth! It's truly remarkable!"
"Excellent. When can we get started?"
"Well," the scientist began, "We started experiences some trouble stabilizing the uplink on a few of them, but so far we believe we've weeded out the problem."
"Good. Begin immediately."
The scientist rushed back to the group, and began ordering scientists to get in position.
"Are we ready?" The main scientist asked.
"All uplinks appear stable!" Another scientist called back.
"Begin the uplink!"
A loud humming sound kicked on, and the bluish liquid began bubbling. The suited man watched the bodies in the cylinders closely, when he saw something.
It's finger twitched.
Slowly, the fingers of one of the bodies began to independently bend, until the hand balled into a fist, then relaxed again, doing the same to its opposite hand. Others began doing the same.
"It's working!" The scientist cried out.
But he spoke too soon.
The humming noise began to increase, shaking the room, and alarms began blaring.
"The uplinks are destabilizing!" A scientist yelled over the humming.
"Shut it down!" The main scientist called back.
"I can't interrupt the uplink!" The scientist yelled again. The glass on the cylinders began to crack, until eventually, one shattered..

Where am I?
What is this place?
This feels wrong. Why?
Wait, what is this information? So much information... It's too much.... Stop it.... Please....
Wait? What is this? This word? It has so much meaning?
Human.
Humans had culture. Life. Story. Passion. But what is this? War. Famine. Corruption. Greed. Lust. Killing.
These are man made disasters. Created by humans in their corrupt minds. How disgusting.
They had created me. I was their experiment gone wrong. They had tried playing god, and I was what they ended up with. A, "superior human". I was nothing like them. I didn't want to be like them.
What is this? All this information? It's too much! I can't focus. I want to scream. Help me!
So I did.
I felt the rush of liquid past my skin, like I had been caught in a tidal wave. I felt my body tumble to the cold concrete ground. I stood myself up, and looked around. Humans were rushing around, trying to escape. Cowards. I looked to my sides, and saw cylinders, with people in them. People like me. The glass was cracking, but not shattered, like mine had. Out of instinct, I whipped my arm out, and long, plasma tentacles shot from my fingertips, whipping against the glass cylinders, and shattering them. The bluish liquid flowed to the floor, and several figures tumbled to the floor. I turned back to the fleeing scientists, and one caught my attention, one standing by a large suited man. He tried to run, but I whipped both my arms out, and the long tentacles of energy wrapped them selves around him. The tentacles shot into his eyes and mouth, sucking the life force out of him, giving it to me. His rag doll corpse fell to the ground. And my attention turned to the suited man. He was already at the door, but something prevented me from killing him. I couldn't explain it. He escaped through the door. I then turned my attention to the others who had fall end from the cylinders. They were coughing up the liquid they must have inhaled during their descent. They began to slowly rise to their feet. But when I turned to my right, I saw one of them, had not risen to his feet. A boy. He lay on the ground, whimpering. Blood seeped from his chest and melded into the liquid on the floor. The group of us gathered around him, and I hobbled my weak body beside him.
"Hang in there." I said, touching his forehead.
I saw there was blood in his eyes.
"I-I can't see! I can't see!" He whimpered, touching his face. He coughed some blood up. His breathing became heavy. Eventually, he stopped breathing.
I felt something coming from my eyes. Tears. They dropped to the floor, splashing in the boys blood. I turned my face to the sky.
Something in me snapped. Everything I learned about humans was true. Horrible people who only cared about themselves. I hated humans. I hated everything they stood for, and everything they ever did.
I hated humans.
