"SO what, we're apart of some murder squad now?" verity asks as she enters her bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

it's currently summer break, and just last night her and her friends were called down from her lake house in america and were told to report to the a'dora hacienda. they had no idea what could be important enough to interrupt their month long stay at the vacation house, but this defiantly wasn't what they were expecting.

the teens were told to not ask questions upon arrival, as the next day would mean a big deal in their futures, and everything was to be explained then.

which was a lie.

they had been marked.

they were known in hogwarts for their families being heavily involved with the dark lord. thats what got them their reputation, really.

despite this, the last thing they expected was to be following in their parents footsteps. at least not this early on. i mean, they've barley just turned seventeen!

"i don't think so. all i see them doing is sitting and talking while the snakes goes around hissing at people. how bad could this possibly be?" theo inquires from his spot on verity's bed. "don't be foolish. have you seen draco's dad? that man looks WORKED. what ever they're doing, i want no part it." pansy huffs begrudgingly as she rolls her sleeve down, taking her sight away from the retched mark now staining her left forearm.

"the old shit looks like he's about to snap in two," draco jokes with a stiff chuckle. he's never much liked his father, or ever had much sympathy for him. "is that a very nice thing to say about daddy malfoy?" verity asks with a mocking pout as she throws herself next to draco who also happens to be sat on her abnormally large bed.

"ew ver stop don't call him that," he says with a fitful look. "what are we supposed to do here for the next 3 days?" blaise asks with a huff as he lazily stretches on the sofa in the young girls room.

"i dunno man, death eater stuff" greyson answers dumbly before taking a bite out of the strawberry biscuit he managed to swipe before the six of them had gotten sentenced to the room.

"do you really think they'll let us start up this early?," draco stated blankly. "we're just here to make our parents look good. some 'total commitment' bullshit." this was the last thing they needed. not that they had extremely important lives anyway, but still, what kids want this?

"whaddya say we get high? let's turn this bitch up or something, it feels like we've been in here forever." greyson exclaims from his corner on the bed.

"why is your first approach to fun always drugs, grey? why can't we be responsible children, the type who worry about studying for O.W.L's or N.E.W.T's?" verity exasperated helplessly.

"you know me baby, why wouldn't i choose drugs?" greyson joked sending over a flirty wink. verity just rolled her eyes in response.

"so are we gonna smoke or not?"

"imagine being told to report to the headmasters office and walking in to mcgonnagle giving dumbldore a lap dance." theo inquired dumbly.

"what's wrong with your mind?" pansy questioned, genuinely concerned. "as brilliant as it is and it can never think up something useful to say."

"hey! stop talking about my beautiful baby brain. i think up useful stuff all the time. right ver?" theo turned to verity for backup.

"of course!! like.. like the time you told me make greysons potion behind his back because you knew if he did it himself he'd fail but he was too proud to ask for help," verity slurred.

"hey!" greyson exclaimed.

"that never happened," theo stammered, shooting verity a knowing glare.

"circle up bitches! let's play truth or dare," blaise exclaimed before scooting himself off the sofa.

taking an empty beer bottle they had found laying around, they put it in the middle of the six of them and gave it a good harsh spin. it went around a few times before finally landing on theo.

"theo truth or dare!" grey asked with a silly smirk. "dareeee duh!" theo announced, barely able to keep his own head up. "have the hottest person here sit on your lap till their turn."

the room fell silent, anticipating theos next move. he swiftly made his way over to verity, scooping her up and plopping her down on his lap. "interesting interesting..." blaise speculated as grey and pansy giggled along. draco just stayed silent with a low smile, not saying much.

the next person went. it landed on the malfoy boy himself.

"draco truth or dare!"

**

the game continued for about another hour before the teens eventually got bored. they never realized how dreadful it'd be to not have the freedom of moving freely around the manor. at least not till the meeting ended.

"wanna go skinny dipping?" pansy pitched mindlessly.

"yes."

that's what led the teens to this position. trying to hide their intoxicated drugged up giggles as they pass the dining room being occupied by said death eaters. the six of them were going to head down to the cellar, & pick out senior a'doras finest whiskeys and wines. not like his alcoholic ass needs anymore of it anyways.

after they had succeeded in this task, they tried their hardest to sneak into the garden unnoticed.

& failing, of course.

snape had given them a rather nasty look as they scurried by, but the old hags always hating on something, so in all honesty it doesn't really matter.

"turn around!" pansy exclaimed at the four boys so that her and verity could get undressed.

pansy just jumped out of her dress and jumped right into the water, while verity carefully slid out her shorts and shirt and folded it neatly before joining pansy in her fiasco, the four boys jumping in shorty after.

the six of them circled up in the pool, the full moon out shinning brightly on all of them, making them all look suspiciously more attractive to eachother.

verity was especially drawn to greyson. something about his low eyes and messy wet hair did something to verity, and she didn't know what it was. it could've been his perfectly toned chest, his rosy cheeks, his pink and plump lips, or the fact that she's high and he's always flirting with her.

whatever it was, she liked it.

what verity hadn't noticed, however was the way the malfoy boy was looking at her.

draco's pov.

i watch as she carefully examines greysons features. analyzing from the way his hair falls messily on his forehead to the shape his lips form every time he says the word "lake"

i watch the way her bright watercolor eyes shine in the moonlight, the way her black hair flows in the water behind her, the way her eye lashes fall perfectly, and how seductive she looks gliding through the water even when she's playing "mermaids" with blaise.

i watch and stare and examine and notice everything she doesn't notice about me, and that's okay because looking at verity is like looking at art.

and arts only job is to be looked at. not to look back.
