My alarm went off at 9 AM. I was so tired from the traveling and additional chaos of yesterday that I physically could not move from my position. However, alarms are meant to be so annoying to the point that you don't need to turn it off, you have to turn it off. So I reached for my phone and hit random parts of it in hopes of tapping the off button.

I finally managed to turn it off and eventually roll out of bed. My first class wasn't until 10 AM, but I figured that I could get first dibs on seats that weren't assigned in the first place. Not that anyone likes to sit in the front anyway. I wonder if I should try something different and sit in the back this time?

After getting ready I start walking to my class. While walking, I noticed that people were paying more attention to me than usual. I didn't think that I had anything on my face or in my hair. I even made an attempt to comb out my hair this morning. So what gives?

I overheard one of the girls whispering loudly to her friends. "I heard that he is dating Hyunjin. Do you think it's true?" Another girl responded, "Him? No way. Even if Hyunjin was into dudes, why date him?" I shrink into myself, hoping that I could disappear. Why were those girls being so mean, they don't even know me.

The individual conversations were all talking about the same thing. Me and Hyunjin. I felt a familiar deja vu when walking throughout the school halls, but this time, people weren't just asking who I was, but why I was with one of the most "eligible bachelors" of the school.

I finally get to my classroom and rush to find a seat. Even the students in the classroom were whispering loudly. I tried to tune them all out but all of their comments kept intruding my thoughts. Seriously, how did everyone know? Hyunjin asked me out right before finals, and we weren't being public about it either.

"Hey there, you doing okay?" A voice pulled me out of my tangled thoughts. I looked towards the voice's direction and see a guy with semi-long hair. He had a very kind smile and eyes. "Oh yeah, sorry." I quickly replied. "Wait. You're the dude I bumped into yesterday!" I gave him a confused look. "You were in a rush, so it's okay if you don't remember me." He reached out his hand, "My name is Choi Beomgyu. Pleasure to formally meet you." I grabbed his hand and shook it. "I'm Yang Jeongin." He continued smiling, "That's a cute name." My eyebrows stayed in their furrowed state after what he said. "Uh. Thanks? My mother gave it to me?" He laughed at my awkward but true joke.

"I'm assuming you're taking this class because you're a bio major like me?" I nodded me head in response. "Cool, what other classes are you taking this semester? Maybe we have other classes together." I told him my schedule and it turned out that we had the exact same schedule. "Wow." I was shocked. I didn't think something like this happened very often in college, but I guess I was proven wrong. "Yes! I already found a study buddy!" Beomgyu raised his hands in the air as if he just won a lottery. I gave him a weird look and shook my head. Another extreme extrovert.

"Want to exchange numbers?" Beomgyu handed me his phone and I reluctantly added my number. What if this was a prank? No one at this school ever acted this nice to me before. When I handed his phone back, he grabbed my hand holding his phone between his two hands. "Thank you kind sir." He bowed his head to add effect I guess. The professor finally entered and began class.

There was a lot of things that set off a few red flags in my head, but the worst one was how he didn't fidget much during lecture. He sat just like Hyunjin.

Beomgyu and I were both finally done with classes for the day. Over the past few hours, I learned that he just transferred to this school, so he was still confused with navigating his way around  campus. When I heard this I impulsively suggested that I could show him around campus and he immediately accepted the offer.
