I was going to a ball tonight to be one of the princesses that the prince will choose throughout the week.
I really didn't wanna be one of the princesses but it's for my parents so i did it.
At the ball i was in a corner alone when a tall blonde boy came up to me.
???: May i have this dance with you princess?
I was stunned by his beauty.
Y/n: With pleasure!
As we danced together i got curious about him.
Y/n: so...who are you exactly?
???: My name is Ricky it's a pleasure to meet you.
Y/n: i'm y/n pleasure to meet you too. Are you royalty where do you come from?
Ricky: You'll find out soon.
By him saying that got me even more curious about him.
After that dance the prince asked me to dance with him, i was sad to leave Ricky since i already felt comfortable with him.
Time lapse 2:00am
I was now outside waiting for a car to pick me up.
When my car arrived i looked back to see Ricky already looking at me and we smiled at each other, after that i went back home to be ready for tomorrow.
Next day 11:00am
My parents made me took what we call the "ladies classes" it's so boring just to get the prince to like me wich i don't want to.
I was in the garden looking at flowers while my maid was watching me.
Suddenly one of the chefs that passed in the entrance dropped some cleaning supplies.

My maid went to go help him so i took it as an opportunity and squeezed in the tall bushes to sneak out in the village.
After i escaped i went to a small art shop.
???: Princess y/n? What are you doing here at this time shouldn't you be at home? The shop owner asked
Y/n: Oh no i just have a little bit of free time don't worry. I lied
???: But you don't have any maid or bodyguard with you, you should be careful.
Y/n: Don't worry miss i'm a strong girl, i'm pretty sure i can defend myself.
???: If you say so ! Good thing you came here i wanted to show you these new flowers i put in the shop's garden!
Y/n: I would love to see them let's go.
We went in the garden when i saw someone painting flowers.
???: Here's the flowers and a boy i used to babysit when he was a baby.
I recognized who it was.
Y/n: hi Ricky! You do painting's ? That's amazing!
Ricky: Thank you :) i didn't think we'd get to see each other this early.
I stood beside him watching him paint.
???: You guys haven't changed one bit from when you were little.
I gave her a confused look.
???: Too bad you guys don't remember, i used to babysit you both back then. Y/n was always talkative while ricky stayed quiet, sadly when you turned 5 you guys stopped hanging out together.
Ricky: It was probably because of me...when i was born my parent's king and queen didn't reveal me to the public and waited until i got older but i didn't want to be revealed to the public unlike my older brother.
Y/n: Really? Then from wich royal family do you come from?
Ricky: I don't want to reveal it sorry.
Y/n: it's okay! It's my time to go now bye.
I hurriedly went back home through the same way i escaped.
After coming out of the big bushes i could see thousands of maids, bodyguard and chefs looking for me.
When my maid saw me she ran up to me.
Maid: Princess we were so worried about you! We thought you got kidnapped.
Y/n: I'm fine fortunately, i was just hiding in the bushes! I lied again.
Time lapse After that day i was even more interested in Ricky than the prince. I would sneak out often to go see him. After a few days i gathered enough courage to tell my parents i was interested in Ricky and surprisingly they accepted it! They even got to meet him once. The week was finally ending and today the prince had to choose his princess.
I was getting ready with the other princesses when one of them came up to me.
???: Do you think the prince will choose me? She looked nervous
Y/n: i'm 100% sure he will choose you! Your the princess that's the closest to him!
We smiled together and went in the castle.
King: Our son will now choose the princess he wants to be with but before that we want to introduce our youngest son Ricky!
My eyes widened, and Ricky arrived everyone clapping, he looked at me smiling and we waved at each other.
I looked at my parents, they looked shocked too but smiled at me.
The prince now was about to announce who he choose.
Prince: i choose... Princess Y/n.
Everyone looked at him in shock as i was the least close to him.
Y/n: What?!
I ran out of the castle.
My parents weren't smiling anymore, the same thing for Ricky, and the princess i was talking to earlier looked like she was about to cry.
After that i never went out of the castle and never heard from Ricky again.
