Chapter Three - Race & Drama

Once we arrived at the race, there were over twenty cars and one hundred plus-people. Every single vehicle there was expensive, and I mean very expensive. I noticed the girls standing in a group with masks on. They weren't very secretive, but I also wasn't expecting to see them here, "What are you guys doing here?", "I'm here with Ramee," April said. "Yea, all of the boys are driving in this race beside Vinny and Mr. K. They had to handle some business." I thought it was random people, but I thought wrong. "Who are you with Ray?" Of course, they asked the most obvious question. "I'm with Randy," I said with a smile on my face. They all had a smirk on their face, "Ray... that's not something to do during a race." I was disgusted. "What! Mari!" I said trying not to be too loud. They started laughing and giggling. We noticed the boys walking over when I got a text.

Tommy T

Tommy: Hey are you at this race?

Ray: Yea why what's up?

Tommy: I was wondering if you wanted to ride with me.

I was now conflicted. Do I do the race with Tommy or Randy, I can't ditch Randy, but I do want to spend time with Tommy.

Ray: I'm sorry Tommy someone already invited me to ride with them.

Tommy: That's fine; see you after the race?

Ray: Yea definitely.

We all finished talking when it was time to start. I ran to Randy's car and hopped in. A guy was coming around to everyone's car grabbing something, "What is he getting?" I asked out of curiosity. "He's going around getting the money from everyone, so whoever wins gets the most money." I nodded my head as the nerves started to roll in. Randy noticed and started to calm me down, "There's nothing to be nervous about, It will be really fun once you are used to it don't worry." I started to calm down a little when those words came out. I forgot everything else and started to get excited as the flag lady came out. 

The lady waved the flag making everyone rev their engines. I couldn't hear anyone else's engine but Randy's. As the green flag came out, Randy stepped on the pedal making me squeal. I leaned back watching Randy pass people effortlessly, "How are you passing them like nothing?" I said in awe. He didn't look at me not even for 1 second; I'm guessing he was really focused. "I'm just good at what I do." He said with confidence. I giggled at his confidence and let him continue driving.

I looked back to see no one behind us, we were first! "Randy your in first!". He looked in his mirror for a brief moment and saw no one in sight. "Hell yea we are." He said excitedly; I looked once again to see a police helicopter and three interceptors coming up on us fast. Randy already knew they were there long before me, he just didn't say anything. I already knew what to do so I got on my radio and called for help. "Boys me and Randy are getting chased by three interceptors and air one, we're gonna need a little help please." Taco, Flippy, Ramee, and Curtis ditched the rest of the race to help out. "Ray where is Randy," Flippy asked; I gave him the radio and let him speak. "Yo, they getting real aggressive out here so think of something fast." He wasn't scared one bit, looking like he wanted to kill them all. The radio came on once again, "Randy drive through the movie set; we got some spike strips. Just make sure you tell me when you're coming through." Curtis said. "Where the hell did he get spikes from? I thought only police could get them." Randy looked at me with a smirk on his face. "Curtis I'm coming through right now; get ready." He drove through the movie set going two hundred plus. I looked back to see only one interceptor made it through, "Only one on you now." He didn't say a word or make any gestures. "Yo Ramee pit this one cop off of me man." After a few minutes we were gone, no cops in sight. "We're good! No one else on us." I looked up to see no helicopter on us either. "Good shit boys, meet you back at the cubby."
