Interlude: An Explosion of Love

(Timeline: a few months before Progress Day)

They say there are five different love languages: words of affection, quality time , receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. For Havoc and Jinx, they have their own love language: mayhem and grand gestures to each other.

And Havoc was already planning one of what he describes as the most grand gesture ever. All he needs to do is set things up, but first...

"You're planning to do what?"

"I'm planning to propose to Jinx! I have it all planned out," Havoc said as he gave the box to Silco who was looking at the ring. "You're only 19 and she's 18, aren't you both a little young for marriage?" Silco asked as he placed the box on his desk. "I don't care about that, I care about being together with her. All I ask is you don't assign us anything for the next few days, that's when I plan to drop in the question." Havoc said as he took back the box in his hands. Silco just sighed at his antics, but he knew that the lovers were ready for this. After all, the two have been together for over seven years, so in a way, that night was both the worst and best day in their life. "Fine, I'll give you both a few days off, but I expect you both back at it by next week." "Deal! Now if you'll excuse me, I need to prepare the location," Havoc said as he used his electricity to zoom his way out of the office. Silco sighed as he moved his sleeve from his mark on his forearm, which had a slight hue added to it, "Looks like Zaun will have a new pair of rulers soon enough," Silco said to himself, thinking about what could come.

At the workshop, Jinx was tinkering away at something while rock music was playing on the gramophone. Havoc wanted to talk to Silco about something, but when she wanted to join, he said it was a private matter, so he told her to stay and work. Which already gave her some thoughts about what he could be talking about. "Maybe he's working on a surprise for me, or maybe he was sent for a mission," Jinx said muttering as she was tinkering away. "Oh, Jinx~" Havoc said as he walked over to her, the girl looking over before jumping out of her seat and ran towards him. "Hey, where did you run off to and why wasn't I invited? You know I hate secrets." Jinx said as she pouted at Havoc, who only gave her a small smile.

"Well you see, I talked to Silco because I have a surprise for you, and I needed a bit for some us time." "A surprise?! What surprise?" "Well, follow me, but you have to keep your eyes closed till we get there," Havoc said as he took out a cloth to wrap around Jinx's eyes. He wrapped it around her head covering her eyes, and proceeded to pick her up bridle style. "Hang on tight," and with that, he zoomed out of the workshop and to the area.

"This way, almost there," Havoc said as he guided Jinx over to the location, making sure she didn't trip over anything. "You're a real gentleman, that's unusual," Jinx commented as she felt herself being moved to sit on something. "Just one second..." she heard some moving around of something before the blindfold was removed from her face, but she kept her eyes closed. "Open your eyes." And she did. She was shocked at what she saw. The place they were at was at one of the highest points in the undercity, where you got a clear view of the area, there was different fireworks and trinkets that gave a romantic and crazy look. "Wow, this is cool! What's the occasion?" Jinx said as she looked around the area, and when she took notice of the chair, the chair was covered in paints and small trinkets too. "Well I wanted to do something special, I mean after all this is gonna be an explosion... of love," Havoc chuckled as he used his magic to ding at the little items scattered around for a rhythm.
