"I really don't like this."

"I know."

"I'm not even a member of Command."

"I know."

"Just because I have two minds in one doesn't mean that I'm not automatically cut out for dealing with-"

"-The old, musty relics," Justice finished, sighing and handing Indigo her hat. "I know. and weren't you the one who told me that today shouldn't be that bad?"

"That was at one in the morning, it was too early for anyone to expect any sort of mental processes to kick in," Indigo protested, tucking her hat under her arm. "I swear by all the stars in the sky, what I wouldn't give to just sleep in for, I don't know, another day? They just had to have Hell Week end the day before the meeting, didn't they? Kinda homophobic, not gonna lie."

"How is it homophobic?" Justice asked, scowling in the mirror. "And what do you think? Ferocious enough that no one tries to ask you inappropriate questions?"

"Because we're fucking gay and it's inconveniencing us, that's why," Indigo said affectionately. "And you're always ferocious enough, my love."

"Fair enough." Justice glanced at Indigo's uniform, implants zooming in and making sure that her uniform was pristine and above reproach. She reached out and straightened Indigo's insignia, palm resting lightly over where Indigo's heart would be. "Besides, they should have known better than to have you do a... what do they call it, eight-nine-eight? Especially on the day before."

"Please don't say the swear word in front of me," Indigo groaned, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "I never, and I mean never want to hear those words outside of Hell Week again. Ever."

"You... you literally just said the f-word."

"Yes, I did, and oh my god Justice, you censored it." Indigo grinned, taking Justice's hand into hers. "Come on, love, say the fuck word."

"Why...?"

"Just say the fuck word."

Justice sighed, then in a low voice, said, "The fuck word. Are you happy now?"

"Yes, very." Indigo chuckled and gently kissed Justice's palm. "My life is complete, I have finally heard my wife swear. If I die now, I will die happily."

"No, you aren't allowed to die, you idiot," Justice said grumpily. "You do that and I swear that I'll go through hell and back to resurrect you, only to kill you again."

"Okay, love you too."

"Screw you."

Indigo laughed and Justice finally smiled, forgetting some of the stress and anxiety for a bit.

The room fell silent, hundreds of eyes turning to look at Indigo, her blue-purple eyes, the three pips on her collar, the jet-black badge that marked her as an Impostor.

Justice watched as Indigo took a breath, eyes trained onto the Security Officers that were coming over to them. She stepped back as they pat Indigo down for any weapons before putting a heavy vest over her.

It wasn't exactly a secret thing that the vest was for everyone else's safety, not Indigo's. And it was evident that she hated it, but it was at least better compared to how things were in previous meetings.

As soon as the Security Officers were done, Indigo quietly followed Justice to their seats, any prior signs of light-heartedness and humor fading away. Her shoulders were hunched forward in an effort to make herself look smaller, and her eyes were glued to the ground.
