Chapter 3 Usopp, Syrup village

Nami doesn't remember, she doesn't remember in orange town or in syrup village. The complete opposite of Usopp, he seems to remember immediately, bursting trough the bushes with tears running down his cheeks at the first sight of them, rolling down a slope after stumbling on a branch. face covered in sand he starts yelling lies that are somehow apologies of unready but totally started weapons and ships.

"Luffy you know this guy?" Nami asked stepping closer to them, while the Usopp pirates popped out of the bushes, flags in hand.

"Yeah captain you know these guys?" Usopp smiled, jumping to his feet and wrapping a hand over Zoros shoulders.

"Of course, this is the wonderful extension of the Usopp pirates, that of course means that their amazing and know trough out the world as the greatest cre-"

The green haired man hit him on the back of the head, a big grin pulling at his cheeks. "More like he's our sharp shooter" Luffy laughed "so whats up with her?"

"She doesn't remember us right now, but she will." Luffy said, walking past the pair and off to the village.

"Hay Luffy! What does that mean?!" The ling nosed boy yelled after him, letting go of his friend to follow the other "Luffy wait for me!"

"So?" Usopp asks "what do we do?"

"We should be asking you that." Zoro answered "we can go beat the shit out of that cat guy right now, or we could wait until he attacks."

"We wait!" Luffy answered, smile somehow still big on his face as he stuffed his face "or else that rich lady wont give us the Marry!"

"Huh, your actually right." The sharpshooter leaned back putting a hand on his chin "then maybe we should act the same way as last time?"

"Last time?" Nami asked, getting fully ignored

"So you ganna go talk to that rich girl?"

"Yeah" Usopp sighed, getting to his feet, waiving to the restaurant's owner, leavingwith a "I'll pay the next time i come around so write this down on my tab" .

"Kaya!" Usopp greets as the window infront of him swings open

She smiles, greeting him right back "so what story are you going to tell me today?"

"Aa, well Kaya..." his smile becomes a bit smaller, apologetic "I think we should talk a bit."

"About what? Everything is alright?"

"Well... uh you do know that I've been making those stories up, tight?" Kayas smile comes back, now smaller and a bit sheepish, she nods

"Okay, well some of them are pretty close to the truth." He says "just today I was ganna tell you about a huge goldfish! But i.. uuh i think i time traveled." It was Usopps turn to look sheepish

She blinked "your kidding"

"Its more like i saw into the future and it like i lived trough it!" He laughed, but soon became serious again. "Uhh watch out for klahadore and a weird hypnotist.

You don't have to believe me!" He added quickly, after catching the look on Kayas face "but I'll be leaving soon... and I just wanted you to know."

"Leaving?!" Her voice rung too high and too loud "why are you leaving? Where are you going?!"

"Im a pirate Kaya! When the sea calls, i go."

"But you said you lied!" Her whole upper body was leaning out the window now.

"Im not a pirate captain!"  He frowned "But i am the sniper of the Strawhat pirates!

Now! Do you want to hear the story of me defeating captain Kuro the first time around?"

"You!" Klahadore interrupted the tale that sounds too tall to be true of too fast to see pirates "what do you think your doing here!?"

"Klahadore!" Kaya once again leaned out the window

"Ahh shit"

"Get out!" He said "this is criminal trespassing"

"Actually Klahadore..."

"Not now lady Kaya!" He spat "you can tell me all about it when he leaves"

"No.. you cant do that!"

"Its alright, just remember what i told you okay!" Usopp smiled at her, bright and happy. Sliding down the tree, ready to leave

"You must be Usopp." The longnosed one stopped, turning around he pointed to himself with a proud  'thats me! God Usopp himself!' "You have quite the reputation in town"

"Dont i know it! I think their exaggerating it though time I checked they adored me, I bring the little colour into everyones-"

"Your father also had a reputation" he cut off Usopps chatter "I heard he was a filthy pirate, left his son and sick wife for some treasure"

Usopp didn't reply verbally, only raised an eyebrow as the butler kept talking "you must be here for her money, and her money only, just like your father "

"thats right, im the son of a pirate, and im here for miss Kayas fortune!" He exclaimed "i will kidnap the Going marry and steal her treasure"

Kaya giggled, Usopp walked passed the older man to get to the gate, waiving at the girl as he went.

His friends were waiting for him, sitting in the grass by the gate playing cards, fully ignoring the guards who seemed to be already tired by their antics.

"How'd it go?" Zoro asked not even looking up from his hand. Usopp shrugge, as Nami tossed out her last card next to the growing stack In between them, Luffy whined and Zoro groaned at thiefs victorious shout.

"Come on, lets go to my house." He said, already starting to walk as Nami started gathering up the cards and Zoro stretched his legs "ive got some stuff to make"

The next morning all four of them were found on top of a slope playing cards. Luffy had a wide smile as he looked at his cards, tossing one down on the one zoro had placed. "Why are you putting that one? Its the strongest one there is!"

"Do they know who we are?!"

"Where did you guys even learn this game?" Nami asked,

"Do they even know we're here?"

"Oh Shanks thought it to me!" Luffy smiled "Yasopp tried but he wasn't any good drunk."

"HAY STOP IGNORING US!"

Zoro tossed a look over his shoulder to look at the pirates behind him "we'll finish this and then we'll fight you."

"Whys there so many cards?" She continued

"Screw that im ganna go past them"

"Because usually this games played in a pair, but theres more of us so we changed up the rules and added more cards." Usopp explained putting down another card on the two Nami used.

Zoro pulled Wado out of its cover to extend the blade towards the man that tried to pass. "I wouldn't do that if i were you"

Marry settles into the dock of the sea baring restaurant. They settle at a free table, the exact one they had been sitting at last time, waiting for their cook to arrive.

He doesn't remember either.
