Chapter 3

The next day, Zane woke up and got out of bed to make sure everything was in its place for school.

"Zane!" Alastor calls, "Morning meal!"

Zane then went to the dining room to find pita bread on a plate and a cup of blood.

"Thank you, Alastor," Zane says, sitting down at the table.

Alastor, who prepared for himself the same thing, sat down across from Zane and started eating.

After they were both done, they started talking.

"What time does school begin?" Zane asked.

"7:30." Alastor replied.

"What time is it now?" Zane asked.

"5:30" Alastor replied.

"What time does school get out?" Zane asked.

"15:00" Alastor replied.

After sitting in silence for a few minutes, Zane stood up and took both plates to the sink and walked to his bedroom to get ready for the day.

Soon it was time to go to school.

"Zane!" Alastor called, "It is time to go!"

Zane walked out the door as Alastor held it open.

Zane paused before asking, "Where is the school?"

Unfortunately, Alastor had already closed the door so Zane had to figure it out himself.

After waiting a few minutes, Zane saw someone he recognized.

"Hello." Zane said to the boy.

"Hello Zane," the boy said back.

"I must ask, what is your name?" Zane questioned.

"My name is Aaron."

"Are you going to school?" Zane asked.

"Yes, do you need help finding it?"

"Yes, I do need help."

"Follow me."

Zane followed Aaron. Occasionally, Aaron would take a notebook out and write something, usually after Zane said something.

Soon they arrived at school.

Aaron found Aphmau near Zane. Noticing he was now alone, Zane decided to sit on a bench.

Soon a kid came up to him.

"Nice clothes" The kid teased.

"Thank you, I made it myself." Zane replied, oblivious to the bullying.

Another kid walked over that seemed to be friends with the first kid.

"What movie did you walk out of?" The second kid said.

"I do not know what you are talking about. Who are you?" Zane answered.

"Im Gene," the first kid said, "and this is Sasha."

"Why are you dressed so weird?" Sasha said.

"I am not dressed weird. I am dressed normally. You two are the ones that are dressed so informally." Zane replied, now standing in front of Sasha.

"We're in school, we don't need to dress formally!" Gene announced.

"You two sicken me." Zane said walking away.

"Don't walk away from us." Gene said, grabbing Zane's collar.

Immediately, Zane whipped around and slapped Gene across the face, obviously filled with rage.
