It had been months since Dream first entered the forest. Dream quickly went to find a small stream to wash up in. It felt good to feel a little cleaner. He had been running around, dirt staining his cream colored fur.

He still hadn't found a mate. He decided for now, he would do his best to avoid anyone. It was hard to bear through the rut inducers, but if Dream forced himself to stay up in a tree, he could avoid it.

In fact, mating hadn't really become much of his worries anymore. He felt like a wild animal, running free in the forest. It was nice. The freedom from his strict caretakers of his wealthy homelife was more than relieving. But, Dream had also started to feel...lonely. There was no one he could talk to other than some random alpha he'd fight over for prey.

Dream brushed off any harsh thoughts as he used his paws to clean himself. The water was very clean, and there was even somewhat of a sweet smell to it. It had a faint omega smell. Dream assumed an omega must have bathed in the pond a few hours before him. Dream liked the smell. It was a nice vanilla scent. If only he could smell the omega rather than the diluted in water version.

"That's my pond," a voice remarked behind Dream.

Dream smelled the presence of an omega. It had the same smell he had picked up from the water, but much stronger.

Dream turned around, "Excuse me wha-"

He stopped. The omega he just saw in front of him was too much of a sight. The wolf was a beautiful lean wolf with dark espresso fur and brown eyes that sparkled like stars. What was most striking was that this was a male omega.

"Aw great, you're staring," the omega scowled, "well, can you get out of my pond?"

"How is it yours?" Dream asked.

The omega pointed his paw at a paw print that also had a nose print right next to it, "I claimed it, it's my territory."

"You can do that?"

The omega rolled his eyes, "so are you going to move or not?"

Dream nodded and got out of the pond. The omega stepped in and wrinkled his nose, "you ruined the pond with your scent," he said, narrowing his eyes.

"Look, I'm sorry." Dream felt like it was such a basic apology.

"Whatever, just don't come near this next time," the omega replied.

"Hey," this was Dream's chance.

"What?"

"What's your name?"

The omega paused, "George"

"George?"

George nodded.

"Well I'm Dream, do you wanna be friends? With me?"

George squinted, "with the person who invaded my space?"

Dream nodded slowly.

"Why?"

"Because, I thought it might be better if we teamed up as friends, defend each other-"

George scoffed, "it's not like I can defend you from omegas."

Dream continued, "well we can help each other through ruts and heats."

"Look," George snarled, "if this is some attempt to mate me, you aren't getting me. No one is getting me, and I belong to no one."

Dream growled before regaining his cool, "woah, no, I just really want a friend."

"Look for someone else."

Dream whimpered, "please, I promise I'm not the average disgusting alpha. I'm not trying to mate you. Just give me a chance."

"Fine," George scowled, "but no mating, no breeding, no fucking, just friends."
