Perfect (Bethany & Mark)

Chapter 7

(April 20, 2015)

Bethany POV.

"Wow, it's been a long time...." I thought as I walked into the CBS studios. This was crazy....I hadn't been here since...since, the finale of season 19. My eyes watered up a bit. I took a deep breath, smiled, and opened the door leading to the seats.

"Where's Mar- Derek, at I wonder?" I quickly said as my sister, Brittany approached me. "I don't know where Derek is.... I think you can find him yourself" she says, sighing, then walking back to her seat. "Um....ok. Thanks." I'd learned by now to put up with all of  Brittany's many moods.

My phone beeped, signaling the text I'd been waiting for. I pulled out my phone, and as I expected, there was a text from Sasha.

S) Hey, I'm up on the balcony, you can come up now if you want to hang with us in the red room. :)

I looked up, seeing Sasha smile and wave at me made my happiness levels rise 500%

B) Sounds good! I'll come up right now. I can meet you in there.

I started walking towards the stairs, but then hesitated.

B) Hey Sash? Who all is in the red room right now?

S) Haha, it's hard to tell, basically everyone.

Exactly what I thought. I'm not going to lie, part of me was about to text Sasha and say I wouldn't be able to come up. I took a deep breath, for probably the hundredth time today, and started walking up the stairs. I got to the top, and was surprised to see that Sasha was still there.

"I thought we were meeting inside?" I said, instinctively hugging him. "Oh, we were, but I decided that I shouldn't make you go in alone!" He said, grinning. Ah, Sasha, probably the most caring person I've ever met. I'm going to be frank here, he's awesome. "You are THE best Sasha!" I say, I seriously cannot help smiling when I'm with Sash. "Come on, I'm guessing you're going to want to talk a lot, and to a lot of people. Derek, Witney, Mark" I cringe as he says his name. "And definitely more. So come!" He pulls my arm, and pulls me through a door, into the red room.

The first person I see is Emma. "Doll!!" Emma exlaims. "Its been forever!! How are you??" Emma is the sweetest. Ugh, how I miss this. "I've been great! What about you? I was so sad to see you and Redfoo leave so soon!" I snap out of my daze, and manage to put together a suitable sentence for Emma. "Terrific! I need to go get dome touch ups done but I'll see you in a bit? Bye, bye!" She quickly scurries off to a artist hastily applying makeup to the girls faces. I look around the room, scanning for Derek. I see Nastia, but no Derek. "BLARGGHG!!" RIGHT. BEHIND. ME. "Aaaahh!!!!" I shriek, spinning around. "Babe!! I missed you!!" Derek hugs me and picks me up. "That wasn't funny!" Now I'm giggling uncontrollably. "But I did miss you too!" He sets me down and kisses my cheek. "Oh! Are you looking for people to catch up with? Because I just saw Mark-" my eyes widen. "Oh, uh, no, I was...um, looking for....PETA! Yeah, Peta!" I say smiling. "Well, Petas not even in here right now, and Mark is just right here."

Derek moves to the side, revealing the one person I never wanted to see again.
