It's December and I find myself alone and in my favorite place.

The Café.

I'm at my favorite café. I'm seated near the window. Engrossed in the book I'm reading I don't notice the guy that sits down in the empty chair at my table.

" Hey. "

I heard a male voice say. The heavy accent makes me look up and away from my book.

" Can I help you?"

I asked confused.

" I think you can. "

He says the heavy accent is present yet again.

His accent makes me laugh as the show Downton Abbey pops into my head.

" Did I say something funny? "

He asked.

" No, you didn't but I got a question. "

I say, he nods as if permitting me to speak.

" Where you come from, is it normal to intrude on others having a cup of hot chocolate? "

He gives a small smile and says,

" No, it's not. "

I smile a little hoping he would go away but he doesn't. Instead, he keeps his position sitting in the chair opposite mine. I get up and I grab my handbag, take out my wallet and I put the money in the menu book.

" Don't leave. "

He says in a low demanding tone.

I raise my eyebrow in surprise at his attempt to stop me.

" I don't take orders from you, or anyone. "

I say a bit annoyed by his demand

" I'm sorry for my indiscretion, I just want to know you,  my name is Liam."
