"One day, my love, when the curse takes over, it'll be the day I die..." The man whispered, holding the other's hand as he stared off the cliff, letting the wind brush through his hair.
"But you wouldn't let it take over... Right?" The other whispered, looking over at him with worry.
"Fate has other things for us, my dear... Sometimes it'll be happy, but... I don't think we'll end together." He hummed as he looked towards the setting sun. A soft smile had been plastered to his face. "For now, all we have to worry about is how much time we can spend together..."
"Please... Try to fight it... For me..." They whimpered, feeling his grip on their hand tighten.
"I'm sorry, love... I don't know if I'll be able to fight it anymore..." He whispered, looking at them finally. He felt a few tears fall. "Let's head home, okay?"
"...Yeah..."The last words he ever said were... They never forgot them. They never forgot his gentle tone.
"I love you, my dear... I love you..."
They curled up in the empty bed, holding a picture frame close. They missed him... His gentle words... His comforting songs... Everything he ever was... They missed him... But he is gone now... The blood was on their hands...
"Kill me. Do it. Just- You have to pull the trigger!"
They always heard him yelling those words before the shot was fired. They could still hear it all playing in their head...
"I-I'm sorry..." They whispered, holding the frame closer.
