fifteen — reality.

vincent's pov ||

it's been a bit over a week since kio called me and i still haven't told katarina. i feel so guilty about not telling her, but i just can't push myself to do it.. even though i know i have to do it anyways.

i also feel guilty because i got her grounded.
to explain,

the other day, i wanted her to go out with me and she did.. just one problem. she was supposed to be home at 8:30..
we came home at 11.

katarinas parents ground her a lot even though she's not even in high school anymore, but legally she's still a minor for a few more months so i guess they have a reason to. also she's living in their house so .. ya. 

i had lots of fun that day and it was worth it.. was it worth getting her grounded..????? no, because now she can't go out with me for another week. and that is TOO much for me.

katarinas pov ||

i was just laying on my bed and looking at the ceiling while throwing my stuffed animal in the air, when i heard a really loud bang on my window.

i immediately sat up.. what the hell.
i just sat there looking side to side, wondering if it was just a bird or not, but then there was another bang.

i was so scared now. i slowly got up from my bed and made my way to my window. i open my curtain and look down through the window. there's a tall figure standing there, and once they saw me they started to wave.
i then started to notice who it was .. it was the one and only.. vinnie.
of course.

once i realized, i slid open the window and stuck my head through. i had broke the net between my window a while ago, so i could just stick my head through without something blocking me.

"vinnie?!!" i exclaimed but it sounded more like a question.
"meow." he said as he looked up at me. he didn't even like make a cat noise or anything, he just said the word meow. this man is so weird...

"are you good?" i wonder as i looked at him. 
"i'm chilling." he nodded as he placed his hands on his hips.

i laughed before he spoke up and said, "come on, let's go, i'm taking you away."
"i'm grounded, i can't leave the house." i told him with a smile on my face.
"yeah, yeah.. you're coming with me." he demanded.
"yeah right." i let out a laugh. "no way i'll get away with sneaking out.."

he looks around before he says, "jump." and i look at him like he's a crazy person, which he is.
he nods, "jump. i'll catch you." while holding his arms out.
"vinnie you're not okay.. i'll land on you and we'll both fall on the ground and break our heads open." i explained.
"no we won't. toss your phone down." he tells me, ignoring what i just said.

i looked at him again with a look like 'are you stupid?'.
he put his hands on his hips and looked up.
"i'm not leaving until i find a way to get you down here.. so either jump or i'll break into your house." he explained. the thing is.. he's not joking. he would actually break into my house.

i was scared, "i'm gonna get in trouble! they're gonna know!! how am i gonna get back home??" i wondered as i started to think smarter.
"do you not have a ladder or some shit in your backyard?" he asked me, "or a key? do you not have a fucking key?" he continued.
i blinked at him for a few seconds before i thought, 'fuck it'.

i walked around my room for my house key and my phone. when i came back with them in my hand i saw a smile grow on his face.
"that's my girl. throw it!" he said as he held his hand out. i dropped the keys in his hand and he caught it perfectly and slipped it in his pocket.
i then dropped my phone in his hand, not looking at it because i was scared he would miss it and it would break.. but he caught it.

"your turn." he smirked at me.
"vinnie.. how is this going to work.. how would i jump down." i said as i looked down at him.

he laughed at what i said before saying, "just jump, i'll catch you." as he came closer to the wall. i still just stood there and looked at him, afraid.
"katarina, do you think i would let anything happen to you?" he asked me as he looked at me with his hands still on his hips.
the answer is no. he would not.

i still hesitated.
"kat, do you trust me?"  he asks.
".. yeah.." i respond.
"then jump."

i let out a sigh and went one foot at a time and sat on my window frame.
"JUMP!" he exclaimed. he was right under me.
"i cant jump! how can i jump sitting down??" i argued.
"just jump!!" he cut me off. i looked down before i sighed. i pushed myself off of the frame and went right down. i was prepared to get injured, but instead.. vinnie caught me.

"see? you're fine. i would never let you get hurt." he told me as he looked at me.
he put me down and handed me my phone.

"umm.. wait.. how are we gonna get out? i don't have the key to the gate.." i scratched my head.
"how do you think i got in?" he wondered and i shrugged, "you're you, you always find a way to do things."

he smiled before leading me to the gate.
"okay listen to me, okay?" he looked at me, "you step there, then there, then there, and i'll boost you up.. but you have to jump down on the other side." he explained to me as he showed me where to put my feet.

".. okay.." i said as i held on to the gate and started doing what he told me. he was holding me by my waist the whole time with a tight grip and pushing me up.

he was basically doing all the work. i got to the top of the fence which was really not tall at all.. it was just a plain smaller fence.. but it was still kind of tall, taller than me.. but not super duper tall.

i sat on the top of the fence and just pushed myself down like i did with the window. surprisingly i didn't get hurt because vinnie told me to like bend my knees or something, i don't know i forgot.

he then did it after me. he did it so smoothly like it was nothing.

i watched him jump down just like i did and land on the floor.
he flashed a smile at me before grabbing my hand and leading me to his car, "let's go." he spoke.

"so where are we going?" i wondered as he opened the car door for me.
he smirked, "i don't know, i just made an excuse because i missed you." he spoke before he shut my door and then walked to his side.
