Save me from harm

Chapter 3

Jihyo had a bad night. She was nervous about confronting her bullies. She knew Professor Minatozaki meant well. She couldn’t do as she said. She didn’t have it in her.

What could she do with her problem anyway?

She just had to take it. She drives to the university as usual. She didn’t change her routines. She waited in her car and went to the classroom a minute before.

Jennie had her two friends again. They were laughing at something. They see her coming, but they stay where they are. They usually bullied her at the breaks.

When Professor Minatozaki arrives, she takes a glimpse at her. She felt different when she saw her. She could feel a tingle in her stomach.

The moment in Sana's office came to her mind. It was those eyes of her that did the trick.

She had noticed them before, but now she realized what it did to her.

Sana is different from the other professors at the university. For example, she never wore a tie. She either had a long-sleeved dress shirt and jeans or a suit blazer with a shirt.

Today she’s wearing the latter. She gets behind her desk and tells the students about the subject for the day.

After 45 minutes, there is a break. Professor Minatozaki usually left, but now she stayed.

The bullies didn’t dare to do anything. They looked at Jihyo but then left the classroom.

She was safe for now. She’s looking in her mobile when Professor Minatozaki approaches her.

“I forgot to ask you about the story you wrote on the teamwork yesterday. I would like to read it.”

“It was nothing and not very good either.” Jihyo looks up at her.

“Don’t be shy.” She smiles. “It doesn’t matter. I would love to know your writing style. Maybe I can give you some tips to improve it.”

“Alright.” Jihyo looks for it in her notebook.

“Not now. Come to my office after class. I read it then. If you don’t mind.”

“Okay.” Jihyo smiles and closes her notebook.

“

Have you thought about what I said yesterday? About, you know..”

“I don’t think I can do it.” She looks sad.

“Okay, take your time. You’ll be surprised.”

If she only knew it to be true.

Sana gets to the door and left.

She was alone in the classroom. She would get to the bathroom. She takes all her things with her. She didn’t see her bullies anywhere, which was a relief.

Not until she gets out of the bathroom.

Jennie and her two friends surround her outside.

“Nayeon saw you talk to professor Hotty. Getting comfortable, are you?” Jennie looks closely at her.

“Leave me alone.” Jihyo says, upset which even surprised her.

“Think you can tell us what to do.” Jennie pushes her from her shoulder.

It’s then something happens to Jihyo. She thought about what Professor Minatozaki had said. To say something without thinking.
