Facing our fears

Taehyung pov                                  NEXT MORNING 

I woke up by the annoying sound of the alarm clock . I turned to switch it off but felt some weight against me , I looked by my side and found Y/n peacefully sleeping in my embrace . Her eyes were still red and a little bit swollen because of crying so much.  I switched off the alarm and admired her facial features , while resting my head on my hand turned towards her side . Her long hair , fair smooth skin and her perfect eyes . My eyes then shifted to her lips , they were looking so alluring but I controlled myself . 

"Y/n it's time to wake up " I whispered near her ear as she moved closer . She was literally like a child and I loved this side of her. 

"5 more minutes please" said Y/n with her morning voice .

I got up and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day . After that I decided to cook something for her as she was still weak .

A/n POV 

It had been an hour or so but still Taehyung was struggling with breakfast. He had attempted 20 times and failed consistently when T/m came to rescue .

" Oh my dear lord , what have you done to this place , huh ??? It looks like a storm broke out. God Tae , you know you can't cook still doing it ."

"mom I was just trying to cook for y/n as she is sick but this happened " said Taehyung while smiling awkwardly .

"Oka- , wait you didn't tell me Y/n was sick , MY DAUGHTER IS SICK " said Mrs. Kim while cutting her own sentence, enraged because she loved Y/n like her own daughter and didn't want her to get even a single scratch.

" You , WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ? " - T/m 

"Because I knew you would react like this and I didn't want to burden you after yesterday. Okay mom ?" - tae 

"Hmm , but I want to meet her " 

" Mom she is sleeping , just wait for her to come down . Till then can you please help me with the breakfast ? " Taehyung said while pleading her . 

After a lot of sulking Mrs. Kim agreed and helped him in preparing the meal .

Meanwhile Y/N's side

Y/n was panting hard while sweat trickled down her forehead . She started crying after seeing the same dream again when she felt someone shake her lightly . She immediately got up and seeing him she hugged him like there was no tomorrow . 

Taehyung POV - 

After sometime we prepared breakfast while I decided to go upstairs and call Y/n for it . I opened our room's door and saw ... Y/n breathing heavily and trembling in her sleep , I went near her and shook her lightly, tears escaped her eyes , now I was getting worried .I called out her name and after a few tries she woke up and as soon as she saw me , she immediately jumped on me hugging me making her sit on my lap . I felt so scared wondering what she saw that made her this scared and I also know for a fact that she is quite brave so ghosts can't scare her . After she calmed down I asked her what happened . She pulled out and told that it was a nightmare regarding her ex . I was now really curious about her past and decided to ask her.

"Y/n are you ready now to tell me ?"

" y-yes Tae , you should know " I remained quiet signaling her to continue .

" Actually around 4 years back , I fell in love with a guy in my college , Mark . I really never experienced love from my father and was quite sad all the time but he was there for me , he gave me a shoulder to cry on whenever I needed it . I had a few friends - Jimin , Jennie , Jisoo but I distanced myself from them due to Mark's brainwashing, I e-even ignored all their warnings against Mark . I was totally blind that time . Then he met mom and dad , they both were quite happy , especially dad because Mark was the son of one of the biggest businessman .I then insisting on getting married , he was quite hesitant but later on agreed"

" The night before our w-wedding I found him m-making out with some g-girl and h-he even had the g-guts to tell me that he n-never l-loved me and just used me . Well , he didn't have a reason to be scared as he knew that dad would not break off the marriage then . I spent the whole night crying * cracked voice* . I told mom about it and she told me to just run away because she didn't want me to spend a life such as hers . I r-ran right before the w-wedding with mom to start a new beginning away from all of this and neither contacted dad nor Mark ever since . I isolated myself for months and then I was never the same , I began to have trust issues . I apologized to my friends because I knew they only wanted the best for me and I am grateful that they accepted me without giving a single thought . " 

By this time she already had tears in her eyes ,I hugged her while she was still sitting on my lap and caressed  her hair gently . I was feeling so sorry for her , she had gone through so much but she never disappointed anyone . I stroked her hair as her heavy breaths turned to normal.

"Tae am I that bad that no one stays with me . A-am I-I not g-g-good enough."

She said while sobbing more harshly . I felt a pang in my heart . She was such a pure soul that she deserved the whole world .

I then cupped her cheeks and while wiping her tears I replied " Y/n , you're the most beautiful soul in this whole world . Only someone blind can't see that . I can't even imagine what you went through but have faith . Okay ? And no one left you.  Jimin , Jennie , Jisoo , mom , me , we all are here for you . Hmm ?"

"Y/n , I am so proud of you for never giving up okay , so never think like that " I said while glaring at her playfully while she giggled a bit . Awe , how I love to see her happy .

We both were busy in our own discussion when we heard a camera's click sound , we turned around to find mom with a camera in her hand . Y/n immediately got down from my lap embarrassed and shocked as she didn't knew mom was here , while I stood up from the bed embarrassed too. 

"MOMMMMM" 

" What mom , you took an eternity to bring her for breakfast so I thought to call you both but I didn't knew that you both would be being all lovey-dovey . I just wanted to capture these moments. " She said while teasing both of us while we stood there totally flustered .

"Get shy later, food's getting cold " We both made our way downstairs following mom looking like tomatoes .

A/N -  They were eating peacefully when T/m told them that she'd be leaving after breakfast as she decided to live with Mrs. Lee to have her own company. Tae and y/n insisted a lot but then agreed understanding .They bid their bye's and spent the rest day watching k-dramas as it was too late to go to office anyway .

( NOTE - y/n's present father is her step father and she told Taehyung about it too .)
