It's very weird.
How can two strangers be so attached to each other when they met almost a week ago?
Well... It's because of their past.
Yeonjun being Ex-Mafia and working for her father while Eunhui tries to avoid the old man as much as possible, after all, he is the reason her mother died.
"Why didn't you wake me?!" She lightly hit his forearm, but he couldn't react to it, only because of the butterflies in his stomach.
He gave her a small smile before speaking up, "Because I wanted to take you somewhere special." she stared at him in disbelief.
"Are you... Yeonjun I have to go to work! What if I get fired??" Her only worries were her getting fired now, after all this was the only company she could get accepted to.
Despite her amazing CV, some places were just insanely biased about their workers and staff.
Yeonjun smiled again and shook his head, "Don't worry, you won't get fired. I know your boss, we're very good friends." his words were reassuring, however, she wasn't that concerned.
"Wait... How do you know where I work? I never mentioned it." Yeonjun didn't say anything as the bus came to a stop, he stood up and grabbed her wrist gently.
"Don't worry about it, Soobin tells his hyung everything." he giggled as he continued to drag her out of the bus, the brunette grabbing her bag and hurriedly following after him.
As the two got off the bus, Eunhui looked around, she didn't know where they were.
She spotted a sign nearby, "Andong..." She was confused, she has never been here before. "Where are you taking me?" his hand that was holding her wrist slid down to hold her hand instead.
A weird feeling was felt as she felt butterflies erupt in her stomach, her ears turning red as she manages to control her facial expressions.
"Have you had breakfast yet?" she shook her head to answer his question, he just smiles as they kept walking hand in hand. "I don't eat breakfast."
An old couple was walking towards them, Eunhui noticed and smiles widely. Yeonjun notices and keeps quiet.
As they were about to touch shoulders, the old man stops in his tracks and puts a hand on Yeonjun's shoulder, he motions for Yeonjun to bend down as he puts a hand to his ear.
"Take good care of your girlfriend, young man." he whispers as Yeonjun nodded and smiles softly, the eyes of the brunette light up in curiosity as the couple walks away.
"What did he say?" her tone was higher than usual, and her hand gripped the strap of her bag. Yeonjun shrugs as his face turns neutral, "Nothing special."
She didn't believe him at all. But she didn't bother to question him any further, "Nothing special my ass." she mumbled as she averted her eyes to look at the stores that they were passing by.
Eunhui was trying to avoid his stare as much as possible, her cheeks were starting to burn red and the girl tried to lessen the color of her cheeks.
But what Yeonjun did next was something she has never expected, his thumb brushes over the back of her hand as he starts drawing circles with it.
"What-" her eyes widen as she finally stares him in the eyes, he only chuckled and then shrugged. "Do you want him to think we 'broke up'?"
"No- But he's not here!" she was making excuses. "You never know where he might be, he might be behind that tree over there." He pointed to a random tree, Yeonjun was making excuses too.
Has he fallen head over heels for her? Most probably.
He started swinging their hands slowly, "Well if you don't eat breakfast then are you down to spend the entire day with me?" Eunhui's eyes lit up at that, she nodded and smiled brightly, "Sure! Aside from the work I was supposed to have, I don't think I'm busy today."
"Have you ever been racing before?" she furrows her eyebrows as she gives it a thought, "I don't think so, what type of racing are we talking about?"
Yeonjun chuckled loudly, she was taken aback. "Car racing, wanna give it a shot?" he smirked as he stopped walking, causing her to stop as well.
He bent down and locked eyes with her, 'God his face is so fucking close to mine...' she cleared her throat as she turned her head to look away, but he didn't let her.
The man swiftly grabbed her chin and made her look back at him, and god she was going crazy. His thumb was barely brushing over her lips.
Once he was satisfied with her reaction he pulled away, their hands unlocking as he walked ahead, leaving her behind, speechless.
"Y-Yah! You can't just do that and walk away!" she ran after him and they both laughed, "Why? Do I make your heart flutter?"
She couldn't give him an answer, she didn't react as they were both walking side by side again.
'I wanna hold his hand again...' she closed her eyes as her thoughts were taking over, Eunhyi shook her head as she opened her eyes.
"So... Why did you ask about car racing? Have you ever tried it before?" he only giggled and looked around him, he shook his head, he's been smiling a lot around her.
"Well... I can say I'm pretty good at it, can't I?" her eyes widened, he's risking his life to compete in car racing. "Yah... Why are you risking your life for a dangerous sport?"
"I'm not afraid of risking my life, I've been through way worse anyway." he didn't bother to lower his voice, he trusts her.
Eunhui understood him, so she didn't bother to ask any longer, she doesn't want to pressure him.
A smile appeared on her face as a thought crossed her head, "It would be interesting to attend a car race so... Why not? we can go there when night falls!"
She was having fun, she was happy for the first time in so long.
Was she head over heels for him too? Most definitely.
