Laura couldn't believe her eyes as she rubbed them to see if she was seeing the right thing. She opened her eyes and reread the letter once more to be sure if she actually read the correct thing. "...position of the CEO's PA... . "
She was happy at first because she was promoted but come to think of it the boss was a very wicked person. He fires his workers because of a little mistake and he always feels on top of the world .
She swallowed her spit at the thought of it
What if he was going to fire her because she can be a little clumsy with things and now to work as his PA her clumsiness would increase.
She then decided to put her bestie on the line to tell her the good and bad news.
"Hey monkey" she said happily as Emerald her bestie picked up in one ring. "Laura baby how are you doing?". Emerald asked .
"I'm fine my love and you ?" " I'm fine too. So why are you sounding happy and sad at the same time . Tell me what's wrong."
"I just got promoted to the position of the PA..."
Before she could complete her statement Emerald caught her off .
That's great news like very great so why are you sad, huh , tell me. At least I'm happy that you can finally get close to a man since after 4 years "
Laura thought about it and she knew he boss doesn't like women so she was happy because she doesn't like men too.
Not that she was gay it's just that 4 years ago she lost the love of her life due to an accident and she was blamed for it so since that time till now she didn't want to interfer in anyone's life .
"Come to think of it he doesn't like women especially the ones that show the smallest slight of feelings so i am hereby safe and comfortable to work with him. I'm actually scared."
"Don't be babe. It's gonna be alright. Okay babe i have to hang up now work it calling . Catch you in a bit." Emerald said sadly. "Okay then monkey . Talk to you later ."
They called ended and Laura let out a sigh . He didn't like women so was it that he liked men? She wondered .
She shook her head off her thoughts and then went to wash up and sleep before tomorrow's work .
She went to the bathroom and had her bath and then wore a short nightwear gown which was transparent and then fell on the bed and slept off.
