[ AFTER FIRST TRIAL ]

"I'm sorry, Teruko.."
Those were the last words Teruko heard before she died.

Teruko can't help but feel guilty, after everything Min did for her, she never acknowledge it. Min wouldn't have died if she wasn't a dumbass. That's right, It was her fault  to begin with, everything was Teruko's fault.

As Teruko sit in her bed, all her past memories with her started flooding in her brain.

[ BEFORE THE INCIDENT ]

TERUKO'S POV:

I woke up to the sound of MonoTv, I kind of wanted to sleep more but it was annoying me to death. I stood up and looked at the mirror, Oh I looked Horrible. I fixed myself and went to the kitchen just to see Min doing her thing there.

"Hey Min, what are you doing?"
I asked out of curiosity

"Teruko! Goodmorning, I'm just baking cookies like the usual. Do you wanna join us?"
Min asked

'Us?  All I see is her alone, am I still dreaming?'

"What do you mean us? Who's the others?"
I questioned

"Oh, Eden was helping me here just a minute ago but she suddenly forgot to wash her clothes so she's probably in the laundry room right now! She said she's gonna come back as soon as possible."
Min smiled

'Oh. Well that explains when I saw Eden running in the hallway.'

"..as for Rose, well she is- sleeping in the corner.." Min said as she pointed out to Rose

I looked at the corner of the Kitchen and saw Rose sleeping, while standing.. How did I not see her there?  

"..and that's pretty much it. Do you wanna help me decorate the cookies?" Min questioned as she putted the tray of cookies inside the microwave.

'Definitely not. First, I don't know how to decorate. Second, oh I'm so sure something bad will happen if I touched a single thing here.'

"Uhm..- I feel like I'm just gonna ruin everything, it's the best for me not to get in your way." I said with a worry tone

"Ruin? I'm sure you'll just be fine! Besides baking with others is just having fun, I'm sure the others will not take it to heart if you did something horrible" Min handed me those things you use to decorate, don't know what to call those

"I really appreciate it, but I've been through this stuff before.. I am bad at decorating and my luck-" before I could continue to Min putted a finger on my lips to make me shut up.

"As I said, it doesn't matter if something happens, and please don't always blame yourself just because your luck.." Before I could even respond, I suddenly smelt something.. burning?

"Ah! I didn't notice the time..!" Min wore her kitchen gloves and immediately turned off the microwave, she grabbed the tray with burnt cookies with a worried look.

"... I told you, people get affected because of my luck." I knew it was my fault anyway.

"No, don't worry I blame this one on mine. We can just start over again!" Min turned to me as if nothing happened.

I sighed, Kind people are really.. something.

At the end, I helped Min bake those cookies, we both decorated it. Min did a good job on decorating the cookies while I was having a hard time. Luckily Rose woke up again and helped with the decorating. They're both so good at it, if only I was too.

As Rose was holding onto the tray, she suddenly bumped into me. Luckily the cookies were caught in time, but I accidentally fell towards..

"Ah-!"  I closed my eyes preparing to fall,  but I felt myself in someone's arms. I opened my eyes to see Min holding me, oh we're too close.

"Oh, sorry." Rose blurted out

'how can you say that with no emotion at all?!'

"Are you okay?" Oh now Min is worried about me.

"You're all red, are you sick?" No definitely not. Wait, red? Am I blushing right now? Someone kill me.

I stood up and apologized immediately.

"I'm so sorry-"

"Hey guys! I'm back, I'm so sorry for the wait!!" Eden rushed in to the kitchen

"Oh- Teruko! You're here!" Eden waved to me

"Eden! Perfect timing, we just finished the cookies." Min showed Eden the cookies we made

"You guys did an absolute great job!! I'm really sorry I didn't get to help tho.." Eden's happy mood changed into a sad one

"No worries, you already helped me with the cookies before- which burnt.. but anyway let's share this to everyone now."

We 4 ate together, Eden and Min was talking, Rose is.. sleeping and I was so lost in my thoughts.

'why couldn't I get this  out of my mind?! I was definitely blushing back then, but there's no way I like Min- .. maybe it was me being embarrassed? Definitely. But our face was so close back then.. If only it was close enough maybe we could've -'

"-ruko?... Teruko are you alright??"

Oh shit.

"Yea! Sorry, I was just thinking of.. something"

"You've been acting weird since Rose bumped on you, are you really sick?"
Min asked

"No- no, don't worry"

"I'll take you to the infirmary."

"What-"

And that's it. We ended up here in the infirmary, Min took my temperature.

"Hm.. you seem well"

"See? I told you, you're overreacting."

"Sorry, it's just that -"

'crap, I couldn't take it anymore.'

I kissed Min while she was talking, yes, kiss. It only lasted a short moment and I could see Min's flustered face.

"You're all red, are you sick?" I teased her, I don't know if I regretted this or not.

"I- uhm- I- no- well- you-"
Damn she was stuttering alot.

She covered her face with her hands, I'm now overthinking everything I just did.

"Sorry I did that..-" I apologized.

"No- it's okay, really."
Min said.

'its okay? Does she.. like me back? '
Even though it was awkward we still managed to talk it out.

"Teruko.. do you like me?"
Min broke the silence

...

"I guess I do."

I didn't know all that would end quickly.

[ BACK TO PRESENT ]

A tear went down on Teruko's cheek, feeling guilt, regretting every word she had said to her. It was her last moment, yet she had said such horrible things to her. She was feeling many things during the trial. Anger, Guilt, Sadness, Fear. She also felt the need to forgive her, protect her. But she let the feeling Anger took control of her. She still cares for her deep down and she know it herself.

She broke her heart because she was nice.
