"Shit! SHIT! SHIT!!!"
Screaming I pull the ship's controls up as far as I can while plummeting to the sandy desert planet. The ship's lights are flashing red around me as I search the controls for any kind of emergency landing. A warning displays on the controls illustrating the two engines are down.
"Yeah, I get it okay! I'm gonna die! Die in this stupid ship, on this stupid planet, for this stupid reason!"
I feel the heat -from either the burning engines or this awful dust ball of a planet- lick my skin.
"I should've paid more attention when learning to fly."
I strap myself into my seat and brace for the impact. My body jerks forward as the ship's nose hits roughly against the sand dune. As the ship skids forward my head jerks back hitting hard against the headrest. A shower spray of sand flies past the windshield like mist. When the ship finally creaks to a stop I unbuckle my restraints, grab my bag, and head towards the door. I stop in my tracks to look back at the cargo hold.
"I went through all that trouble. I can't just leave them here."
I rush to the cargo hold and stuff a bag with various Imperial weapons until it can't carry anymore. I zip up the bag and throw it over my shoulder rushing towards the ship door. I try opening the door, but it won't budge.
"Crap. Must be buried too much. Fucking sand."
I groan as I think of an alternative escape route. I make my way back to the cockpit, setting down the bag to unzip it. I pull out a large blaster examining it. I give a slight shrug and crawl on top of the ship's control board. Positioning the blaster in my hands I take a deep breath.
"Here goes nothing."
I ram the back of the blaster into the glass windshield causing it to crack. I hit the glass a few more times before giving it one swift kick, shattering it completely. I crawl out of the opening with the bag. Avoiding the glass shards the best I can, I slide down the nose of the ship onto the uneven sand. I stagger forward with the bag of blasters over my shoulder, having trouble keeping my balance due to the soft sand and heavy bag.
I begin walking, trying to distance myself from the ship. Once I deem my distance safe, I start to climb up a sand dune. When I reach the high ground, I take a look around at my surroundings, hoping to be near civilization. I spot the wretched little city of Mos Eisley in the distance. Only a few miles away. Looking back towards the ship, I see it engulfed in flames. I'm surprised to see it has yet to explode.
"Must be my lucky day."
I shrug as I begin the unpleasant walk to Mos Eisley. I flinch when I hear an explosion behind me, only moments after my departure. I grimace and continue my journey. I'm used to the sounds of explosions behind me now. I used to become frozen when I heard them. Traumatized by my parents' death, nightmares plagued my mind. I would wake up in the middle of the night screaming, eyes puffy, tears rolling down my face.

"NO! PLEASE! FATHER! MOTHER! STOP!" I screamed.
Jolting awake, I sit up in my bed. Tears fall to the blanket I'm under, like the rain we so rarely used to receive back home. My breaths become shallow and it feels hard to breathe. I gasp, trying to catch my breath, but it's as if my lungs are rejecting the oxygen. I hear the door to the main hold open.
"Hey, princess. We heard some screams. You okay?" The man asks.
I'm unable to respond, still gasping for air. The feeling of overwhelming guilt and despair wash over me. I feel dizzy and sick to my stomach.
"Damnit. CHEWIE GRAB THE MED KIT WILL YA! Look, kid. You're having a panic attack. It's gonna be okay."
He explains, sitting next to me on the bunk. He places his hand gently on my shoulder. I look at him, worried by his diagnosis. His face is blurry through my tears, but I can tell his expression is full of concern.
"I got you. You're safe now. Just try to take a few breaths."
He wraps his arms around me in an embrace and holds me tightly. Tight, but gentle. My breathing slows and I feel the oxygen finally reach my lungs. My arms slowly raise and wrap around him returning the embrace. I sob softly into his shoulder. The Wookie enters the main hold and hands him the med kit frantically, unaware of the situation. He slowly lets go of me and I release my arms from around him. Grabbing a bottle from the med kit, he opens it and hands me a capsule.
"It'll help you sleep."
I take the pill from him and swallow it. The promise of sleep is too good to pass up. He smiles softly at me and gets up from the bunk. Handing the med kit to the Wookie, he instructs him to put it away. The Wookie leaves, the man following behind him, but he stops at the doorway turning back to look at me.
"See you tomorrow, princess."
He exits the room and I lay my head back down. I wipe the remaining tear stains from my eyes before they start to feel heavy and I drift off to sleep.

"Another perfect landing Jaz!"
I smile sarcastically. Ships and I don't get along. At least any ships other than the Falcon, she and I have a mutual understanding. I've been told it's because I keep crashing them, but I believe they must have some suicidal instinct I just set off. All of this technology and they can't come up with better transportation? Like teleporting?
Back on Temion, everyone walked everywhere. Besides Coria Palace, everything was close together. The Palace is built over a vast waterfall that has been frozen for millennia. My father used to tell me stories about how our planet was said to be warm once.

"Trees of bright green as far as the eye can see and the roar of the mighty falls heard everywhere, as it echoes through the mountains! Wouldn't it be beautiful my flower?"
【《★☆★》】
My father adored color and made sure it was spread throughout our planet in any way he could to combat the stark white of the ice and snow. When he asked for my mother's hand in marriage he had thousands of Winter Jasmine flowers planted, her favorite. She said their bright yellow color reminded her of sunshine. And so they named me after Jasmine.
I never liked my name growing up. I thought it strange to be named after a flower. I used to despise the color yellow just because the flower had claimed it. Now it all seems so childish. I would do anything to go back and watch the Jasmine bloom for the first of the year with my mother and father next to me. Now my home is destroyed and my parents are gone.
Sweat drips down my face onto my neck. Panting I try to catch my breath, as it seems to feel hotter and dryer every second. I missed my planet deeply, but at this moment, what I miss most, is the icy cold weather that remains year-round. The blistering sun beats down on me when I finally reach Mos Eisley.
I head towards Chalmun's Cantina -which I'm sure he's at- with my head down to avoid any eye contact, praying my wanted hologram hasn't reached everyone yet. My shoulder aches as the bag strap digs into it. I'm regretting bringing all these blasters, no matter how much money I can get for selling them.

A/N : Hey gorgeous readers! I'm so excited to have finally gotten around to writing this story. Jazmmary is a character that I've loved to write from the perspective of. We'll get into more of her past later on. I hate that this chapter has basically no human interaction, but I had to set up the story and it just didn't fit well. I promise the next chapter she'll be talking to real people and not just herself. Please comment funny shit it keeps me motivated to write more. Enjoy my lovelies!
