Chapter 3: the pollywog

(3rd person PoV)

The episode opens as Dustin suspiciously walks inside holding his ghost trapper as his mom walks to him

Claudia: dusty! Dusty how was it?

Dustin: [stammers] how was what?

Claudia: "how was what?" The greatest night of the year, of course

Dustin: oh, oh, yeah, it was... it was, uh, tubular

Claudia: what's wrong with you?

Dustin: nothing

Claudia: did something happen?

Dustin: no, what? No

Claudia: are you constipated again?

Dustin: no! Mom

Claudia: okay, your acting weird

Dustin: I am not acting weird

Dustin's ghost trapper prop box then shakes violently as Claudia whimpers out and Dustin laughs nervously and mews then hisses at the box

Dustin: hahaha, awesome, right? Yeah... I rigged the trap with, uh, um, a motor to make it look like I caught a ghost, just like the movie

Claudia: [laughs nervously] oh, dusty

Dustin: [laughs] yeah

The two then laugh together akwardly

Dustin: funny, look at that, look at that

Dustin then walks into his room and lifts the box and says to it

Dustin: I told you to keep quiet, all you had to do was stay still for one minute, one minute

Dustin then sets the box down and goes to his turtles cage and takes off the top and takes out his turtle and sets it on the ground

Dustin: sorry, yertle, temporary eviction, buddy

Dustin then picks up his box and dumps out a small, slimy like creature as it chitters and Dustin then leans to it

Dustin: what are you, little guy? What were you doing in my trash? You hungry?

Dustin then dumps a bunch of candy onto his bed from his Halloween bag and picks up a 3 musketeer bar and puts a small piece into the cage

Dustin: go on, eat

As the creature tries to go to the nougat he stops when he feels the light from the lamp

Dustin: too hot? Sorry about that, little guy

Dustin then turns off the lamp as the creature comes from the shadows and starts eating it as Dustin leans forward

Dustin: [chuckles] you like nougat, too, huh? Your pretty cute, you know that? I'm glad I found you [chuckles]

Dustin then looks at his nougat wrapper

Dustin: d'artagnan, I'm gonna call you d'artagnan

(Timeskip)

We then cut to Dustin asleep with a book on his chest as dart is screeching and whimpering inside his cage as it looks like something is moving inside of him

(Y/N pov)

As I am going through my locker looking for my science books I see as max and Lucas walk with each other and me and max glare at each other for a bit before I shut my locker aggressively and walk away to class
