Krystal's first ever movie was a japanese horror drama, Tag, afterwards, when the show got positive vibes to the viewers, Krystal headed to another direction with film making, instead, it was a Korean one. She landed a role in the hit k-drama, Train to Busan. During the filming stages, a American manager asked her if she wants not so dark of a character. So Krystal went back to Los Angeles, not going to any of the interviews for Train to Busan because she was busy with a famous director on that time. She stated that ' a person who work with Disney Channel came up to me, complicated me that I have a good futures and offered me a Disney Channel role'
