Role - Daughter

Age - 14

(Happy 10 year anniversary to YOURS TRULY)

Being the daughter of a celebrity can be very hard and stressful sometimes. I'm A'leeah Grande. Yes the daughter of Ariana Grande. Most people think that my life is just amazing but really it's not, I mean of course I have better experiences than most people my age, but there are some hard days in my life. I'm 14 in middle school, I go to high school next school year. This is my life.

It is nearly that time of year before school ends, and my mom has me working extra hard. Last weeks are always stressful for me because Mom is constantly on my back about having good grades, and doing this and that. This year is EXTRA stressful. Lately she has been having me study hella for test so I can be prepared for high school. All she expects from me is to be amazing and perfect. Sadly I can't be the amazing perfect daughter she wants.

I wake up to hearing my alarm buzzing, so I get my clothes out for the day and get ready to shower.  It's now Saturday morning (well no duh) and this has been a bad week. Why? you may ask. Well my mom has been on my ass all week, telling me I have to be the best I can be to finish 8th grade. 8TH GRADE, and she's acting like it's my last year of high school. I've had straight A's all school year. She's stressing for no reason, I should be the one stressing not her. Anyways, I get out of the shower and finish getting ready and head downstairs.

"Good Morning Mom." I greeted my mom as I saw her making breakfast. "Good Morning A'leeah." My mom said back to me as she started setting the very bomb smelling food onto the plates. I see she was making crepes which is very weird cause she hardly ever makes them.

"Why are you making crepes." I asked very confused. "I need to talk to you A'leeah." I knew it I already saw it coming. I mean she hardly ever makes crepes, so why else would she make them? "Hmm ok about?"

"Well you know the school year is about to end so-" I cut her off. "Mom please, we have this talk every morning" When I say we have this talk every morning, I mean EVERY MORNING. I'm getting tired of this already. All she ever talks about are my grades and school. We never really have those good mother and daughter talks that I wish we could have. "Of course we have this talk every morning A'leeah, I need you to understand what I'm saying. "Mom I understand you, I understand every bit of what you've been telling me for the past week." I'm just done having this conversation with you. "I'm in 8th grade, not 12th and you are putting WAY to much pressure on me." I was starting to get teary eyed.

"Every morning I come home to a A'leeah get started on your homework, A'leeah get to studying so you ace that test." "You don't ask if I wanna watch a movie, You never ask if I wanna hang out." "All your focused on is school." "I miss the old you." "A'leeah, baby." I seen the quilt in her eyes when she said that. "No mom." I said before walking up to my room.

I closed my door and laid on my bed before I started bawling my eyes out. I love my mom, I really do but sometimes It's just too much. I'm only 14 I don't need this much pressure on me. No one does. I began to doze off from all of the crying.

*2 HOURS LATER*

It's now 12 pm, and I started to wake up. I didn't even realize I fell asleep. Next thing you know I start to hear my mom coming up the stairs. "A'leeah, Can I talk to you?" I really hope it's not about school. "If it's about school, then no." I told her not wanting to hear another word about school. "It's not just open the door." I stood up from my bed and walked over to my door to open it for my mother. We both then walked back to my bed to take a seat. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for putting so much pressure on you A'leeah and for stressing you out. I didn't realize I was making you feel that way, I will do better mylove." My mom explained to me. I was already starting to cry before I spoke up "It's okay Mom, I know how successful you want me to be in life.""And I promise I won't let you down."

I'm glad she's finally understanding how I feel, and how she was making me feel. 'Now would you like to watch a movie together." As soon as she asked, I instantly felt happy. "I would LOVE too." We walked down stairs into the living room, I picked out to watch Creed 3 while mom got the snacks. "Hmm, Great choice A'leeah." She said while setting the snacks onto the table. "I love this movie so much."

This is all I wanted from my mom. Was to cuddle up on the couch spending time with her. I got what I wanted in the end.
