For almost a year now, Hyun Bin has taken to running outside at night to relieve his stress. He was never a fan of it before, but as he recently found out, the cold breeze of the night gives him a certain type of calm that he could not get from running at the gym.

And with everything that's happened to him in the past several months, he really needs a lot of calm.

And he's not even talking about his dad's request and Ye-jin. Well, it was part of it at first. But the more he met up with Ye-jin, the more he realizes that it's not such a bad idea after all – their marriage that is.

From their meetings, it has become obvious that the two of them has changed a lot, Ye-jin especially, and more than anything else, it is comfort that he feels whenever he is with Ye-jin nowadays. In the years that went by, their tumultuous ending somehow made him forget how easy it was to talk to Ye-jin and how much of a ball of sunshine she was.

And so when he saw her pass him by while he was resting after his midnight run, he was delighted. He took a few more seconds to catch his breath before he started walking towards her. He reached the back of the bench she was sitting at but she never noticed him as she seemed to be in deep thought. He was about to tap her back and make his presence known when he realized that Ye-jin was not really staring off at the distance, but at the couple kissing a few meters away from them.

That made him smile.

He was not going to let her live this down.

And so he took a deep breath, mustered the most annoying smile he could, and then tapped her back. And he was not disappointed. Her reactions were gold, and he almost feels regretful that he did not take a video of it.

Their banter was, however, cut short when a guy spoke. He frowned at the intrusion. But, before he could think of anything else, Ye-jin quickly rushed beside the guy.

He was a little bit surprised at how fast Ye-jin removed herself from him, but he paid no attention to it.

"Mind if I join you two?" he asked while quirking his brows.

This was going to be interesting.

The guy seemed to contemplate about it but did not give him an answer. Instead, he turned to Ye-jin, obviously leaving the decision up to her.

It took Ye-jin a couple of seconds before she replied, "Actually, we were just about to go home."

"No, you aren't."

"What? Of course, we are," she said affronted.

He pretended to think for a while, and then pointed out to the plastic bag the guy was holding, obviously containing various kinds of food and two bottled waters.

"The plastic bag pretty boy over here is holding says otherwise," he said while pointing to the bag. She immediately turned her head to the direction he was pointing at, and groaned.

"It's for take-out. We're eating it somewhere else."

He was about to say something at that when she interrupted him.

"Okay. We'll go now. Byeee," she said without taking a breath. Subsequently, she pulled the other guy by the hand, and rushed off to the other side.

From the distance, he saw them slowing down and laughing off.

It has been two weeks since she last saw Bin during her date with Seung-won. Since then, she had gone on two more dates with him, and decided that he was a decent enough guy. And definitely her type.
