The world had gone to hell, but Daryl Dixon was still standing. He had survived countless encounters with the undead, scrounged for food and supplies, and had even found a new family in the form of his ragtag group of survivors. But there was one thing that had always eluded him - love.

He had always been a lone wolf, content to keep to himself and keep his emotions buried deep inside. But when the reader arrived at the camp, everything changed.

At first, Daryl didn't know what to make of the reader. They were soft-spoken and kind, with a gentle smile that could light up even the darkest of days. They were a stark contrast to his rough exterior, and he found himself drawn to them in a way he had never experienced before.

As they got to know each other better, Daryl found himself opening up more and more to the reader. They talked about their pasts, their fears, and their hopes for the future. Daryl was surprised at how easy it was to talk to them, and how much he enjoyed their company.

One day, while they were out on a supply run, the reader stumbled and twisted their ankle. Daryl was quick to catch them and help them to a nearby abandoned building, where he made them comfortable and tended to their injury.

As he wrapped their ankle in bandages, he couldn't help but notice how close they were. Their faces were just inches apart, and he could feel their warm breath on his skin. For a moment, he forgot about the world outside, forgot about the zombies and the danger, and just focused on the person in front of him.

The reader looked up at him, their eyes meeting his in a moment of intense connection. Daryl could see the same desire in their eyes that he felt in his own heart, and before he knew it, he was leaning in to kiss them.

Their lips met in a gentle, tentative kiss, and Daryl felt a rush of emotion that he had never experienced before. He pulled away, staring into their eyes, and knew that he had found something special.

From that moment on, Daryl and the reader were inseparable. They fought side by side in battles against the undead, shared meals and stories by the campfire, and even went on late-night walks together under the stars.

But it wasn't always easy. The world was a dangerous place, and there were always new threats lurking around every corner. Daryl worried constantly about the reader's safety, and he would often sneak away in the middle of the night to make sure they were okay.

The reader knew that Daryl was fiercely protective of them, but they also knew that they were just as capable of taking care of themselves. They would often tease him about his overprotectiveness, and he would gruffly reply that he just didn't want to lose them.

As the weeks turned into months, Daryl realized that he had never felt this way about anyone before. He loved the reader more than anything in the world, and he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with them.

So one day, as they sat by the campfire, Daryl took a deep breath and got down on one knee.

"(Y/N)," he said, his voice shaking with emotion. "I know this ain't the most romantic setting, but I just gotta ask you...will you marry me?"

The reader's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, they were both silent. Then a smile spread across their face, and they threw their arms around Daryl's neck.

"Yes!" they exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down their face. "Of course I'll marry
