Sasuke was walking home from the academy. He had just got his report card the had perfect scores. He walked back alone and since it was late he hurried. It was a heavy thunderstorm too. He had taken a very dangerous lane as it was the shortest route. He was on guard as his brother had warned him about many murders and kidnaps there. He was running past the darkest ally way.
'I wonder what's for dinner. Oka-san said it's one of my favorites-'
Before he could finish the thought, he got pulled into the alley way. Someone whose eyes were golden. They held Sasuke down and chuckled.
"Well hello there Sasuke"
"W-who are you?!"
The man did not reply but simply went closer. Sasuke out of fear, kicked him in the balls as a reflex. The man walked back and fell to the ground in pain. Sasuke had unlocked his 1-tomoe sharingan. He used the fire ball jutsu and nearly burned him.
He had been learning it on his own to show his father. He also knew the Fire Release: Blast Wave Wild Dance. It was really advanced for him even then. Without turning back, he ran back to the Uchiha compound to see Itachi walk towards him quickly.
"Sasuke! Where were you?! We all were so worried..."
"I got held back at the academy and then had to train... Sorry"
"No need to apologize. All that matters is that your safe"
'Safe? I hope so...'
"No matter. Kaa-san and Tou-san are waiting. Your lucky I said you were coming with me."
Sasuke quickly nodded. They went home quickly. Fugaku grunted in acknowledge of there presence. He decided to tell him about the grades and the jutsu he learned.
"T-tou-san...We got o-our report card today..."
Sasuke quickly said cursing at himself mentally for stammering. Fugaku nodded.
"Full marks for everything i expect?"
"Hai...And I-i learnt the fireball jutsu....And the F-Fire Style: Bomb Blast Dance...."
Fugaku looked at him surprised for a second and then went back to his usual face. Sasuke not seeing the change, looked down at the ground fiddling with his fingers sadly.
"Show me both jutsus after dinner"
Mikoto came to the table smiling. She placed the food down and sat next to Sasuke.
"I'm very proud of your progress Sasuke! Maybe you'll surpass Itachi one day."
""We'll see mother. We'll see."
Itachi chuckled as he ate the ongiri prepared perfectly.
