Chapter 1: Chosen One

Hi, Jewella here! This is my first story yet. I hope you guys would like this. Catch all Kennia moments with me. Remember you're magic!

I opened my eyes, surprising to see what a beautiful morning at the city. I felt the sun's warm rays, gently touching my hands.

I never wanted to get up but I heard my mother calling downstairs. So, I combed my hair and spalshed water on my face. Then, went down to the kitchen to see my mom cooking pancakes.

"Goodmorning sweetie, how is your night?"my mom asked as I look at the pancakes she's cooking.

"I got sweet dreams!"

"Good, cause the director just called and said that he will direct a movie and offered for you to be the main character!"

"Wow, that's good news!" I chewed a slice of a pancake. "Oh, andamm, I'm going tomeet him. 'Gulp'" I finished my breakfast and took a bath. I dressed up and wore a white skater skirt, a pink long-sleeved sweater and a silver necklace that brings out by dark yet blondish hair.

"Mom, I'm off to the studio."

"Alright. Daphne, take care!"

I took a cab and went to the studio. I saw my boss sitting while working on some papers.

"Hi, sir. What's with all the paperwork?"

"I'm setting a place where we can shoot a scene of the movie.." he said as he pulled out a picture of the place.

"Oh, what is the main idea of the movie and who am I in the story?"
I asked curiously.

"The movie is fantasy. I girl with big dreams named Jenessa discovers a whole lot secrets of another world."

"Well, that sounds a great story." I peeked at the papers and.pictures of the place and saw.."The G-great Paradise. Wow." I was impressed with the ancient carvings of a stone arc covered with flowers. Streams flowing all over the place. It is almost like heaven!

I didn't changed my mind to work with them. I've got the chance to see that place plus I can one amazing name. Who wouldn't like the name Jenessa? It's so princessly...

Later that day after we talked about the 'price', I found out I was working with my best friend Cathleen!

"Hey, girl. Boss said were going to Great Paradise. I've heard that place is super-"I cut in.
"Yeah, I know. Its so exciting.."

Three vans are waiting for us outside. Together, we made our way to our seats. When we set off to the Great Paradise, I saw a butterfly following us. Its no ordinary butterfly, it's so colorful. I've never seen anything like it. When it flies sparkles came out of its wings.

"Cathleen! Did you see that?"

"See what?" she said as I pointed at the butterfly near the window.

"The strange butterfly. Its right there." I expected her to be amazed but instead, she laughed at me. And I was like, Whaaat... Is she dumb or something its kinda obvious ya know?

"Daphne, you're seeing things"

"No I'm not. Am I?"

"Its probbably because you are too excited to see the paradise. Step it out of your mind. We are going to get there okay?"

I silenced down. But I can still see the butterfly. I just closed my eyes. I mean it was the strangest thing that ever happened. How can they not see what I see?

We stepped down from the van. It was a 20 minute drive from the boundary of the city. At the entrance stood an atttendant that seemed to be happy, seeing us visiting their place. Another but much more strange thing happened. The attendant seemed to be bowing to me and did a finger move (she moved her fingers up and down alternately) and again, sparkles came out of her hand. And I was like, Again???

Suddenly, Cathleen grabbed my hand as we enter the gates.

Then she gently whispered to me "Daphne, look! He's so hot. Ahhh..."

"Oh, please, Cathleen. You are always like that. Running and chasing boys." I snobbed.

She laughed and said:
"Daphnia Roselle Summers, don't be so cray-cray in lovelife. I mean you never had a boyfriend or even a single crush!"

"Well, Maria Cathleen Jones, I am so sorry. I mean you have so many crushes yet no BOYFRIEND."

"Daphne!" she said irritatingly.

Not that long, we saw the beauty of the Great Paradise. I wondered around and saw the butterfly flew towards somewhere.

Well, they're just setting up some props so, there's no harm to follow the butterfly!
Yes, I did follow the butterfly and tried to be unnoticed.

The butterfly led to the arc that I saw in the picture.

"So you wanted me to go here little sparkly butterfly?" I was really talking to one butterfly. And I was! Am I dreaming? Can somebody pinch me? Oh, who am I kidding. There's no one around so I continued.

The butterfly flew to the stone arc and landed on a writing. It said that: "With the magic of the wings, the portal would open to its inhabitor, read aloud the arc's writings and the magic will last forevermore!"

Alright that was super strange. Who knows what might happen and besides the butterfly is gone. As if I'm going to read the writings out loud..

Ok, so I read it aloud.

Then I felt really strange after I said those words. Just then, a small source of light came shining at the center of the arc. And then it increased its size until its bigger than me. Actually bigger than a truck. Its shape is a butterfly. It was the portal like it was said at the writings. I suck my arm inside the portal. Then I decided to go in even just for awhile. When I stepped in I realized that there's no ground. I fell and I kept screaming and screaming in fear. Its like I'm free falling without any equiptments for safety. Who knows it wad an endless sky down below? Besides there should be people in the floating islands.

I kept screaming as I fell down below.
