The battle between Izuku and Shoto was a struggle due to Shoto not wanting to endanger his future brother-in-law's life, but Izuku managed to win.
In the final round, Izuku froze Bakugo's hands to prevent him from using his nitroglycerin-like sweat to create explosions.
And Izuku won first place.
