I got home a few moments later as I noticed that we lived in the street, a few houses down.

"Hi mum"  I say as i walk into the house, detouring to the kitchen quickly.

"Hi hun, how was school?" reaching over to grab some salt. "good thanks, i made a new friend i guess you could say, she's really quiet." My mum snapped her head up at the word 'she's'

She turned the heat down on the cooker and turned around, "She?" 

"Yeah, mum she lives about two or three doors up the street."

 "The Red family? They're coming for tea tonight." I look to her in shock and quickly text Indie while she turns around, turning the heat up again.

Sighing, I put my phone back into my pocket. "Mum, why didn't you just text me at school telling me we would have company. I could have made plans." My mum still mixing the liquid substance

"Well, you know I've broke my phone and since you've only just started at the new school, I though that it would be rude ringing you in the middle of a class."

I turn around, groaning and walk upstairs. "I'm away for a shower mum"

I hear her reply with a quick 'okay hun' before I shut the door to the bathroom.
