Cosmin POV:

waking up that morning, I knew more sky people had arrived. I never liked mornings, the sun was always to bright for my eyes and the animals where always harder to hunt. Climbing out of my hammock, I walked down to the base of home tree and readied my bow with the other members of the hunting party. Today we were going after a herd of stern beast, if successful the meat gathered would be enough to feed the clan for weeks, meaning we wouldn't have to worry about going into sky people territory for a while and the consequences that may entail.

Climbing up the spiral of inner branches that weaved together the inner circle of home tree, we climbed up to the canopy where the Ikran lived. Pa'li was my Ikran, she was un like any other Ikran I had ever met. her size and majesty unmatched and was a natural hunter like myself. on our first flight with her, I managed to catch a Hexapede that the clan had said was a sign from Eywa and should be taken as a blessing. the frill of the Hexapede was woken into the necklace by the clan weavers, every fibber and sinew intricately sewn and woven together to symbolise the gift that had been given to me that day.

Mounting Pa'li I could feel something felt different, I knew something was off, different. I was unsure what it was, but one thing was for sure Pa'Li and I would face it together and with that we launched into the sky.

Sot'wa POV:

with the sun finally appearing round the edge of the gas giant once again, eclipse had finally come to an end. walking out from under the buttress roots of Home tree, the warm beating glow of first light illuminated the forest once more.

Stepping up onto a small rock, I brought my hand up to my throat and applied a little pressure producing a call to my Ikran Shell to come to me. looking up, her silhouette glided down and landed next to me, looking at me in anticipation. leaping onto her back, I connected my kuru to shell feeling her heart, strong breath and power flow through me. no matter how many times I experienced tsaheylu it never got old.

looking in, I could see the hunting party getting ready to go on its big mission, the clan leaders had been chatting the night before about how they would store the meat, and how Eywa would look at it.

Fastening my bag to the side of shell, we launched into the air to go foraging in search of a Celia Fruit Tree. The last one had been seen many eclipses ago, before sky people had cut it down in there desperate hunt for rocks. I remember before they arrived, children would climb and fight each other up the trees to get the large best tasting berry at the end of the bunch, and was always seen as the thing every child wanted. with fond memories in mind, we glided on further into the forest in search of the hope of bringing this joyous memory once again back to my people.
