𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 | ᴛᴡ

𝒫𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝒪𝓃𝑒

Today's the day.

I can't believe it, I'm finally going on land.
I've waited my whole life for this and todays the day!

I left my seashell bed and swam straight to the throne room to tell my parents I was going on a trip with Aurora around the ocean for a few days, not that they cared too much they never really listen to what I had to say, always too busy stuck up in their own lives to even acknowledge mine.

If you were wondering who Aurora is, she's my pet dolphin, I've grown up with her since I was a baby siren and to be honest, she's been here for me more than my mother and father. I told her I signed the contract a few days ago and she wasn't happy about it one bit she threatened to tell the council for 'my own safety' but I knew she wouldn't, she's been my loyal companion since birth and it will always stay that way, plus I'm the future queen so she kind of has to do what I say anyway.

As I left the deep sea castle walls I stopped and looked back.
What am I kidding no I didn't I couldn't care less, I could finally be free, even if it's not for long it's something.

I swam straight for the shore with Aurora right by my side, whining about how I should be careful and not get myself in trouble.
"Lana are you even listening to me? This is really dangerous! I can't believe I'm even letting you do this in the first place, you're the future queen and wandering onto unknown lands, who even knows what could be up there?"

I rolled my eyes. "Seriously Aurora you need to calm you're little fin down, I'll be fine. Whatever's up there can't be too bad and besides I'm the future queen and the strongest siren in the seven seas, no little human stands a chance against me, my family have allured men into the ocean forever and do they do anything? No they don't."
She sighed and agreed with me, making me promise I wouldn't be gone any longer than a few days, so we clapped tails on it and she calmed down.

"There it is Aurora, the ground, I wonder what my legs are going to be like, do you think I'll have little toes like the rest of them, do you think I'll look the same? Oh I'm going to see so many ama-"

"LANA! Stop with all the questions please! I know just as much as you do, now if you're going to go then go but give me a hug first and promise me you'll visit me everyday so I know you're safe"
I hugged her and promised her I would, I started swimming to the shore and this was the time everything is going to change.

As I swam to the surface the beach was empty and it was dark outside and a full moon, I glided over to the shore and dragged myself out of the sea, it was strange breathing air, of course I've done it before while being taught how to lure men off their boats but never for long.

I was on the sand and I watched my beautiful violet scaled tail sparkle and disappear.

My tail turned into legs

It actually worked.

I tried to stand up, which I had no avail to. What's the point in having legs if they're completely useless!
I looked at my surroundings and noticed a wooden fence to the right of me, I dragged myself over and grabbed on to it trying to pull myself up, some how I managed and was now standing on my two legs. I've never felt a feeling like it, I could feel the sand in between my toes, the cold wind drying my soaking wet hair, it was amazing. I've never felt so free.

I was using the fence to pull me along and try to teach myself how to walk, I've seen many people do it so it wasn't that difficult, I got the hang of it pretty quickly. I started walking straight hoping I'd find something interesting and I came across a big wide thing in the middle of the forest?

Next thing I know there's some big bright lights heading towards me, I had no idea what it was till it stopped right in front of me and then I saw two young looking humans get out of it.

"What the hell are you doing standing in the middle of the ro- oh my god she's naked, she's naked" he turned his body round quickly but his friend he was with kept staring at me, I looked at him back and gave him a confused look.

"Stiles.. look at her eyes"

As my bright violet eyes stared back at him he was stood there with a shocked look on his face, "what about my eyes?" I replied back.

His friend 'Stiles' he called him turned around and stared at me like I was the loch ness monster.

"What are you.." Stiles said to me

"I'm a siren, duh"
