After the three brooding men leave my room I calm myself down. Well so much for sleep i think to myself. I'm used to having nightmares like that but I've never had someone try to comfort me or come running when I have one, let alone three people. Oh fuck! Shit shit shit! They are probably gonna punish me tomorrow for waking them up. Oh god. I haven't even been here a full day and I'm already getting myself in trouble. But the way they were looking at me like they genuinely cared is weird. Why would they care if I'm just in debt? I want to go outside again. Getting up from my bed I slowly open the door and quietly creep down the hall. After what felt like hours of walking through a maze I found a set of double doors that lead outside. I slowly open the doors trying not to make a lot of noise. Finally my bare feet hit the cold grass, the breeze hit just right and I sigh in content. I lie down in the grass and stare up at the stars and moon in amazement. Two stars next to each other shine the brightest and i just know its my mom and sister staring down at me. My mom passed giving birth to my younger sister. I was seven years old when she was killed in front of me. I wasn't able to save her and I will never forgive myself for that. Maybe I deserve every mark on my skin for not protecting her the way an older sister should have. Hell, maybe I deserve worse. I lie still on the wet ground, the cold air brushing against my skin, the wind blowing my hair in my face. I take a deep breath of the fresh air, the earthy scent hits my nose and I wish I could lie here forever.

I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up I saw three tall figures looming over me. I imedelity jolted up and scooted back.
"What the fuck are doing sleeping out here? You could have gotten sick!" Damien shouts at me and I cower back.
"I'm sorry sir. I just wanted some fresh air. I must have dozed off." I whisper slowly.
"Never do it again." he shouts. He moves his hand towards me and I duck my face in my knees to avoid the blow. When it never lands I slowly raise my head up and see the three men staring at me. I scoot back even more afraid of what's going to happen. "Did you think I was going to hit you?" he questions with a hunt of sadness in his voice.
"Um no?" I lied. I definitely thought he was going to hit me. I know they can see right through my lies as if it were glass. He shakes his head and walks off. I slowly stand but wince as I do , making Noah and Jack jerk their heads back at me.
"Are you hurt?" Noah rushes out in a painked tone.
"No, i'm just...sore.'' I lied again. God, I'm going to go to hell for all the lies I've told.
"Are you sure? Let me check."He moves toward me but I quickly step back.
"Seriously, I'm fine." My tone now a little annoyed.
"Okay..." he replies, not really believing me. "Come on, breakfast is ready." Noah says. I follow behind them as we walk towards the kitchen. I sat in the seat I did last night. Noah places the plates down and once again I have no idea what's been placed in front of me. There's these two round things that have yellow in the middle, it looks like eyeballs and two brown stripes. I build up the courage to ask what it is.
"What is this?" I whisper. All heads snap to me so quick I swear they must have whiplash.
"What do you mean what is this?" Damien and Noah speak at the same time.
"I mean what is this?" I say again.
"It's eggs and bacon." Noah says. "Have you never had eggs and bacon?" he questions. I shake my head no and jack scoffs.
"Is it too simple for the princess?" Jack sneers.
"N-no." I mumble.
"Do you know what we had last night?" Noah asks.
"Brains?" I doubt that's the right answer. They all burst out laughing but after a minute they stop, I can see the realization form on their faces. Ist dead silent in the room, the tension getting thicker by the second.
"No, it's spaghetti." Damien says. Spaghetti? That's such an odd name for a food.
"Nyla, how do you not know what eggs, bacon, and spaghetti are?" Noah asks in a warry tone. Deciding that I wasn't going to lie, I told the truth.
"I was only allowed to have one piece of bread a week and a glass of water." I whisper. I see shock appear on each of the men's faces.
"What the fuck do you mean?" Damien shouts. I glance at each of them, all three mens fists are raised and their knuckles are white as paper.
"Nothing." I mutter. Suddenly, not feeling hungry anymore, I put my hands in my lap. Fury dances in his eyes like the way I'd imagine flames dancing.
"Eat. now." Damien spits out. Afraid of what will happen if ii don't i pick up my fork and take a bite of the eye balls. As soon as it hits my taste buds I spit it out. This is disgusting. "What's the problem?" Damien ponders.
"It tastes bad." i say. I push the plate away from me.
"Can you please try the bacon for me, love?" Noah asks in a sweet tone. Not wanting to be rude after he was so sweet in the way he asked, I picked a piece of the so-called bacon and bit into it. I can feel my face light up as I eat it. This is so good! "Do you like it?" he asks. I vigorously nod my head yes and quickly stuff the other piece into my mouth. Wow. That was amazing.
'Im full." I whisper. "May I go back to my room?" I ask. The men glance at each other and Noah looks back at me and nods his head yes. I stand from the table and walk back to my room.
