"Are you alright?" Asked your sister since she caught you looking at the red string "Yeah" you said you're now nineteen and you still haven't found your soulmate you were just glad the string was still red when it turns black that means your soulmate died when it turns blue that means your soulmate is dating someone
"I'm sure you will find your soulmate soon," said your sister Emma you sigh and nodded "I hope so," you said you didn't understand why you still haven't found your soulmate "Cheer up y/n who cares about these stupid soulmates anyway," said your Sister walking out of your room
You felt like a black sheep maybe you should stop worrying about this but you couldn't "What if I never find them" you thought to yourself you heard your phone ring so you walked over to it seeing that Randy texted you if you wanted to go out not as a date or anything but just like friends
"Sorry, can't right now" you texted back you put on your black hoodie it was your favorite hoodie since it was warm and comfortable "Are you sure? Sidney, Tatum, Stu, and Billy are here we are going to a haunted maze" texted randy you were tired and didn't feel like getting out of bed plus it was late
"Maybe some other time" you texted he must have forgotten that you have no clue who Sidney, Tatum, Sidney, Billy, and Stu were he talks about them sure but you have never actually met them before and you had no intention of meeting them you had other things to worry about then Randy's friends
Oh God they were probably just like him all nerdy and weird and movie freaks yeah you will pass on that "Hey Mom and Dad are still on their date and won't be back almost until five am I'm going to Jakes place and won't be back at three are you going to be okay?" said Emma she was eighteen so your mom and dad didn't mind her staying out so late that also applies to you
"Yeah I'll be fine," you said waving at her "You haven't had dinner yet so buy whatever you want," said Emma giving you some money "I'm not broke" You chuckled but still took the money "I know," she said and left you got up from your bed and decided to put a movie on as you order something
You were always alone your mom and dad were always on dates and your sister well she was always with her boyfriend who is her soulmate you grabbed your phone and ordered something you were going to wait awhile so in the meantime you watched the movie that you put on
Not even ten minutes and your phone started to ring "That was fast" you thought to yourself answering the phone without a second thought "hello?" you said "𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤" they said back what a weird tone to be using "um yes?" You said expecting them to tell you that your food is outside
"𝙄𝙨 𝙀𝙢𝙢𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚?" They said "why would you be asking for my sister?" You said confused "𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙟𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄'𝙢 𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙞𝙩?" They said in a teasing tone "no it's just that she's out with her boyfriend but I can take a message" you said
"𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚" they said in a more serious tone "what?" You said in high alert now "𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙖 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙄 𝙧𝙞𝙥 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙪𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙪𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣'𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙮/𝙣?~" they said in a purring tone you hang up without saying anything with a gasp
You were frozen for a bit before your phone ringing brought you back to your senses it was an unknown number you didn't answer it you just let it ring "I have to get help" you said running towards the front door you opened it only to see someone in a long black robe and white mask
You screamed about to close it but the masked person forcefully pushes the door open making you take a few steps back you were surprised on how strong they were you were about to run but they grab you and pull you in just to stab you in the stomach making you yell in pain
You squirm against them trying to pull yourself away from them they push you away from them as you watch them clean your blood from their knife you take a few steps back holding on to your stab wound it hurt so bad you turn to run only to see another person with a long black robe and white mask running towards you
Shit you were trapped since you were focused on the other one you didn't notice the one behind you tackling you to the floor and get on top of you as they stab your shoulder making you cry out in pain he then starts toying with the knife as it goes down to your stomach
They raise the knife ready to stab you once again but the other person grabs their hand and points to you the person that was on top of looks confused then grips both of your hands noticing that your red string is gone of course you were just so tired to notice plus you were bleeding out
The person on top of you gets off your eyes slowly close as you passed out the last thing you saw was both of them talking to each other about something almost like arguing while looking back and forth that's when you heard police sirens and an ambulance coming closer and closer as the two masked persons run away
You woke up at a hospital but your eyes were still droopy you looked to your side seeing your sister holding your hand with her head low and your mom and dad were sitting next to each other sleeping with their heads on their shoulder they looked exhausted of course they were they stayed up so late they won't worry about you
"What happened?" You mumbled once you said that Emma's head snaps up and she has tears running down her face "mom dad she's awake!" Yelled Emma standing up when Emma said that your mom and dad wake up and walk over to you with a worried expression on their faces
"I'm glad you're alive" said your sister wiping her tears away "do you remember anything y/n?" Said your mom holding your hand "give her some space" said your dad holding your mom's shoulders "I don't remember" you said looking at your hand seeing your red string is 𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙚
