My Boss is a Crybaby?!

The old CEO's retirement!

Rumors and questions have surrounded the Callis Corporation for many days now. Due to the old CEO announcing his retirement, every worker has been using 101% of their energies on lowering the public attention and maintaining the stocks while questioning about who will be taking care of the company from there on forth. Aria Williams, one of our most hard-working employees has not slept for literally 2 days now. Having a very visible dark eye-bag on her face creating a contrast to her pale skin and hazel eyes, she is continuing typing reports for the old CEO. Aria's once silky brown hair looks like a bird's nest after living in the company for 2 days. Suddenly, a phone ring echoes in her office. Picking up the phone, an old man's voice sounded through.

"Aria, did you finish the report?" asked the old CEO.

"Yes, sir!" responded a very tired, sleepy Aria.

"Bring it over here," said the old CEO. "And Aria, take a break after this."

"But-,"

"Aria, you NEED a break!" interrupted the old CEO. "I don't want the public to believe that I torture my staffs. Besides, you won't be under be me soon, I am leaving you to my son."

"Your son..." Aria think for a few minutes and decided to don't ask any questions. She is depending on the high salary of the company anyways. That is why she is willing to work her ass off in this job. There is a lot to do for  this company, but the high salary and the high benefits makes her stay. 

*In front of the CEO's Office*

Aria enters the door after knocking. The old CEO looks up at Aria and took off his golden-brimmed glasses. Despite being over 50 years old, the CEO is still extremely built and looks very stern. He is very well known to the public and to the industry. He founded this company in his thirties and made the company dominating in the industry. This is the reason why the public is shock after the old CEO's announcement of retirement. The CEO is still in great health which made public questioned his decision and worry for the company's future with the next CEO. The CEO might be very well known for his domination in the industry, but his reputation was build with his "my wife must come first" policy. The CEO and his wife has been married for over 40 years, but are still like those honeymoon couples which is ironic. Aria got the chance to see how the old CEO acts around his wife. Despite him being serious all the time, the old CEO is not like that with his wife, confirming the "my wife must come first policy."

"Boss, here is the report of this month," said Aria, handing the report to the old CEO. 

The old CEO took the report from Aria and looks over them. The old CEO closed the report and place it in his drawer. 

"I will leave all of the reports from you to my son who will be coming next week, Monday," said the old CEO. "And you should take a nice break this weekend. I will tell the human management department to don't disturb you over this weekend. You did well, Aria."

"Could I ask you why you decided to retire?" asked Aria. 

"I want to go travel with my wife. She's been wanting to go to different countries and has been very upset when I rejected and told her to wait for a couple of years," answered the old CEO. "She wouldn't let me sleep next to her at night so I haven't been getting a good night sleep. In order to let me sleep next to her again, I decided to accept her 'precious' offer on the trip." 

Okay, thought Aria. So you decided to leave this entire company to your son so you can travel with Mrs. Callis. A candle was lit for Mr. Callis's son.
