Nagisa was walking home from school. Every step he took hurt, because the bullies at school were relentless again and his mother did a real number on him last night. He looked at yet another one of those weird wanted posters. It read: 'Karma Akabane. If you ever encounter this person, do not approach and call the police immediately!' With a picture of said 'Karma Akabane'. Nagisa didn't think much of it at the time.

After a few minutes of walking, Nagisa was about to turn a corner when he saw something he would rather unsee. A group of what looked like delinquents were on the ground, either unconscious or groaning in pain. On top of one of them was a red haired boy with a school uniform on and a school bag over his shoulder, covered in blood. Nagisa recognized the person. 'That's the person from the poster! Karma Akabane!' Nagisa swiftly turned behind the wall, but he thought he saw 'Karma' look at him. Nagisa was beyond scared that the redhead saw him and he didn't even want to imagine what 'Karma Akabane' would do to him. After waiting a few seconds, heart beating out of his chest, Nagisa let out a soft sigh and tried to calm down. He suddenly remembered that the poster said he should call the police immediately. He took his phone out of his school back pretty clumsily, probably making noise. Even though he knew 'Karma' could've heard him, he continued to dial the number of the police. As the phone rang, he was surprised by a sudden hand pinning him down to the wall. Nagisa flinched so much the person in front of him actually laughed. He looked at Nagisa with a completely relaxed look in his eyes and asked him: "What are you doing?" Nagisa managed to stutter: "C-calling my m-mom." As soon as he said that, Nagisa cursed the universe, because the person on the other end of the line said: "911, what's your emergency?" The redhead raised an eyebrow and laughed a little crazily. Cold beads of sweat rolled down Nagisa's back as he feared what the person in front of him would do. Would he strangle Nagisa? Beat him up? Kill hi- Nagisa's thoughts were interrupted when the redhead suddenly snatched his phone and said: "Calling your mom? Really? Hahaha! Is that the best you could come up with? I'll be taking this." Nagisa tried to get his phone back, but 'Karma' was too tall. The redhead added in a flirtatious tone and with a smile: "You'll get it back soon enough." He left and left Nagisa behind, heart pounding at least 100 times per minute out of fear and stress. Ah. Nagisa thought. My mother's going to kill me for this. And so Nagisa continued on his way home, phoneless.

"I'm home..." Nagisa mumbled, hoping that that way his mother would somehow not hear him. "What took you so long?" His mother said in a menacing tone. "I-I uhm, lost my phone at school?" Nagisa mumbled, he wanted to slap himself for saying something so stupid. His mother's facial expression went even darker than it already was as she said: "What did you just say?!" "I lost my phon- A slap. It was so hard Nagisa fell to the floor. Another slap. And another. His mother slapped him so much that Nagisa knew the redness would not go away for a few days. After she was done slapping her son, Nagisa's mother kicked him in the stomach, making Nagisa cough and gasp for air. "You better find that phone, Nagisa." His mother said before she left her son on the floor, on the verge of crying.

Nagisa had gone upstairs to put cooling packs on his cheeks. He wanted to do his homework, but the packs were making it hard for him to write since he had to hold them. Nagisa eventually decided to put the cooling packs away and do his homework. He knew he couldn't risk not having his homework done, because the teachers would punish him. He also had to practice with the exercises, because his grades were already bad and he didn't want to risk coming home with a failing grade ever again. I guess this will show for a few days then. I hope no one notices.

Before Nagisa fell asleep, he thought about what the red haired person had said to him. Nagida managed to bring out: "You'll get this back soon enough, huh." Before he drifted off to sleep.
