15: What- (The final part)

Third Person POV

"I CANT SEE" Alex yells. The flash of light was so big that the neighbors also saw it had blinded all four of them. The banging was still happening. All four of them were trying to get out of the flash, but kept running into stuff, and into each other. One flash of light stopped, so they could see, but there was another. They could finally see, but Jake was still in the flash. "Where is everybody?!" Yelled Jake. "Walk forward" the other 3 said. Jake was finally out of the flash. All of them were trying to figure out what was going on. Alex did see a crack on both of them, but they were all careful with the eggs. Could it be?! The eggs are hatching? Alex thought. Then, they saw a small red thing. Trying to make out what it was, they got closer, and it was a tail! So it did happen. I didn't think it would happen today, though Corey thought. They had been waiting on what would happen to the eggs for some time. Corey and Alex had the same Idea, where the eggs would hatch, while Jake and Preston thought they eould stay eggs, forever. Then, they saw a pink tail, too. "So the first egg is a boy and the second egg is a girl?! Cool!!" Jake had said aloud. They started getting closer, but then 2 baby dragons, one red and one pink, flew out of the door, excited to finally see the 4 people that have been taking good care of them while they were in their eggs. The red one immediately went to Corey, while the pink one went to Alex. Jake and Preston were so busy that they couldn't really hang out with the eggs, but the dragons still loved them anyway. Everyone in his neighborhood has a dragon, apparently. So he asked what they eat and all of them said meat with a bone in it.

So Corey went to the store while the other 3 stay back so the dragons don't cause trouble. He grabbed a lot of meat that had bones in it. The total price he spent was $1,000 all on meat. He also got the crew some snacks. He went home, and fed the dragons. They were all excited to have 2 dragons, but didn't know how to take care of them. Corey had asked some neighbors that had dragons on how to take care of them. One man made an entire book on how to take care of a dragon. Corey toke it and said thanks. Corey got home and started reading the book. But what he didn't know... It would take several hours to read the entire thing.

Several hours later

Corey had read the entire thing. He had gone back to the part where the chapter is titled,"how to put a dragon to sleep." After all, this was a change to his life. All four of the crew's life. Corey had read it again, so he had the steps memorized in his head. He did step one, whitch was to lure the dragons to their bed with meat. Step two was really easy which was to put meat on their bed. Except it wasn't normal meat. It was sleepy meat. Now the third step was tricking them. Now this was the hard one. Dragons could tell if it was sleepy or not, by the colors and the smell. Good thing one of the crews neighbors had some sleepy meat that was the same color as the normal meat, and had the same smell as the meat! Corey didn't know how he did that. Was it sorcery  Corey thought when he was putting the dragons to sleep.

1 hour later...

"FINALLY!!" Corey yelled, but they were outside, and the dragon room's window was bordered up. Corey had spent the last hour trying to put them asleep. Alex was relieved, too. All of them had been extremely exhausted from the dragons. After all, it was the first day with them. Corey handed Alex, Jake, and Preston the book the neighbor made for them. "Well, it your guys turn to read this." Corey had said when he handed the book to them. "We'll read this tomorrow." The other three said. After all, it was 8:00 PM. All four of them went to their own rooms, and fell asleep. All of them slept, from the dragons to Corey. And the crew's life hasn't just changed. This was the beginning of crying, tiredness, chasing, and many more to come for the crew.

*Sigh* Yes, this is the last part of the book. It's sad, I know. It's sad for me too. This was the first book I've started on here. I started it way back In May 13, 2022. I was updating it a month or two, kinda forgot about it, wrote a 2,000 word part, and now to here. Thank you all for reading this. I had fun writing this. But don't worry! The crew will be back in book 2! I'm thinking this series will be 3-4 books in this series. I'm glad I got to do this, and I hope you enjoyed. This was fun. I hope that I did good with that one cliffhanger. Book two should have its introduction uploaded soon. I'll see you in the next book.
