Let's start at the beginning, shall we?

My dad taught me archery at a very young age. He said if I got good enough one day, I could do a lot of good in the world. I believed him because I was young. The same way I believed my aunt when she said knowing how to fight would keep me safe. It's kind of funny when I think about it now.

"You'll be safest if you can defend yourself." she would tell me. "You won't always be able to have your weapons. We need to make sure you can actually fight."

Growing up was odd with a parent who is a superhero. I never knew who my mom was. Once I got old enough my dad explained what happened. He had gotten a call from a hospital. My mother died in childbirth and had given his name as the father. After coming to the hospital, a DNA test confirmed that I was in fact his daughter. I had loads of family though. The entirety of SHIELD and the Avengers.

The older I got the more complicated things became. I got used to not having anyone to cheer me on at events. I got used to being called by a name that wasn't my own. Then at the age of 14 everything changed. My powers finally appeared and my whole life turned upside down overnight. I couldn't go to school anymore. I had to keep friends at a distance to keep my secret. My life became one lie after another.

Why can't I come back to school? My dad's new job has us flying all over the world so I go online now.

Why can't I stay the night? I never know when we are going to have to catch a red eye flight to another country.

The list goes on and on. Having to lie so often did occasionally make me glad I was raised by spies.
