The radios went silent for a moment before as the two birds fell in line again, side by side.

"Glad someone cares. I'm fine. Just nauseous." Stratten shook her head groggily as she secured the safety bar on her seat next to Garcia. "Last time I'm flying with you nut-jobs."

Thomson shook his head, chuckling a bit to himself. "Who're you calling a nut job?" They would often bicker back and forth, almost little little kids and it often took a bark over the radio from Magarby to get them to shut up.

"Dean, keep your eyes open. I can't focus on everything with the crosswind and the kids in the back. Don't want to get surprised again." The co-pilot grunted his consent as Magarby raised their radioman on the ground.

"Thank God y'all are still in the air, we could really use some help down here!" The man's voice was shaking and Magarby could imagine his wild eyed, panic stricken face perfectly.

"Can't you're birds go any faster?! We've got civvies down!"

There was a strained silence over the radio for a moment while the rescue teams processed that information. The only sounds that could be heard was the roaring of the engines, cloud cover muffling the chaos of battle below.

"All right, hang in there, trooper. We're on our way. What's your current position?" Lisner regained his voice first. As he kept the man on the ground engaged, Magarby ran through a damage update on the two birds and their passengers.

"LZ on the pad at the memorial building's clear. Northernmost bit of the Tower. Edge of the cliff face. Y'all able to find it?"

Lisner confirmed that they knew of it and kicked his bird into overdrive, screaming through the air, the Pelican close behind.

Tearing through the clouds, the Falcon's team taking in the damage and general chaos.

"We've got anti-aircraft on rooftops!" Stark yelled over the radio in her helmet as she fired of a quick burst of automatic fire.

Cutting off the afterburners, Bravo-5 allowed the sister ship to sweep in ahead before following.

"Gamma-52, watch your flying, cutting it a bit close!" The Rookie on board the trail bird hollered out as the Pelican barely missed a Wraith mortar.

"Lisner! Tell the kid to shut his yap! I don't need a greenhorn to tell me what to do!" Though the pilot was more careful from then on as they made their way to the LZ.
