Everyone knows how the brave Perseus Jackson and clever Annabeth Chase escaped from the island of the mad sorceress Circe. But that is only one perspective on the ordeal. Hylla Ramírez-Arellano and her sister Reyna were at Circe's spa when Percy and Annabeth released Blackbeard and his pirate crew from captivity. The pirates burned down the girls' home and took them as prisoners. Hylla recounts her side of the story to Percy when he seeks out the Amazon's help one his way to Alaska with Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang.
