Thunder was rumbling in the distance, like drums. The sky was a dark gray, as if someone had
painted it. The rain was tapping on the roof of a little wood house, as if it was asking to come in.
A little family of racoons would usually take shelter in the house. The house has been through a
lot, thunderstorms, wind storms, snow storms.
A family of three would come over to stay for the summer, and sometimes in the winter.
Elizabeth was among them. She was the oldest since she was an only child. Elizabeth was a
very artistic one. She had brown hair that was bleached a dirty blond color towards the tips of
her hair. She was pretty pale and a decent height for a 16 year old girl in highschool. Elizabeth
walked towards the house. The wind blew a little, making Elizabeth's hair flow with it.
She walked inside, immediately grabbing some crayons. Elizabeth walked over to a wall, which
she usually drew on. She would draw different things on it. Sometimes just sketches and
doodles for ideas she wants to keep for paintings she’ll do in the future. “Hm, what should I
draw?” she thought to herself as she held a green crayon in her hand. Elizabeth looked around
the house for inspiration. She first looked out the window. “Maybe I can draw another forest.
But, I already drew one.” She walks away from the window and goes to the kitchen next.
Inside the kitchen was an island with a bowl of fruit and some chairs that were set around it. Her
mother was also there, making lunch. “Hello mom” said Elizabeth as she walked towards her
mother. “Why, hello Elizabeth” her mother said as turns to look at her. Her mother looked a bit
like her. She had her brown hair up in a messy bun. And some of the strands were hanging
loosely on the sides. She was also a bit skinnier than her. Elizabeth sits in one of the chairs at
the island. Elizabeth still wasn't feeling very inspired, so she asked her mother. “Do you have
any ideas of what I can draw?” Elizabeth's mother thought for a second. “How about you go
outside and draw an animal.” Elizabeth smiles and gets down from the chair. “That's a great
idea!” her mother smiles and goes back to making lunch.
