"Lisa.."

"Hmm?" I looked up to see my best friend Rosie leaning against the door frame. Her face has a mixed expression of frown and worry.

"Are you sure you're ready to go back?" I put down the suit I was holding as I found myself laughing at her question.

"What kind of question is that? Of course! Why shouldn't I be ready?" She shrugged, walking towards the bed and slumped herself next to me.

"I think you should ask yourself that question and not me."

"I don't need to do that Rosie, I already know the answer, and it's been what? Almost four years since I left my hometown."

"Okay, as you say so." She gives me a shrug for the second time.

"I know my limitations. I won't do anything stupid." she pause for the mean time and then asked again

"But how about seeing your girl again? Are you ready for that?"

"Ex-girlfriend. She's no longer mine, remember?"

"Alright, but what if you meet her again at the party, I'm pretty sure you will. You know, it's impossible for you not to see her again. After all, she's going to be your brother's---"

"Fiancée, I know." I finished the sentence. I had been trying to move on for years, but it seemed that I still had a long way to go.
