Declan's POV:

Camille is officially not responding to any of my messages, so it's time to take action.

This bright and early Sunday morning has me waiting in a line at Starbucks to order coffee that I don't even like, caramel lattes, because apparently Hunter saw Cami and Noelia order this the other day. They call out my name and I grab the coffee and head to the florist. Inside they have beautiful flowers, all different kinds and colours. The one that catches my eye is a beautiful bouquet of peachy pink tulips. I pay for those and make a last stop at the super market to grab some sour patch kids, a classic that I hope she will like.

I drive back to school and go into the lift of the Terraria building, but I press level 8 instead of 5. The lift rises and I feel more and more nervous. The lift opens and I step outside and spot room 802. I knock gently and the door is immediately answered by an angry Camille, wearing some pink silk pyjamas.

"Hi" I whisper, "is Noelia here?"

Her jaw is on the floor as she looks me up and down, "You actually came?"

I raise my eyebrows, "Of course"

She is shocked still, so I slide past her and knock on what I think is Noelia's room.

She opens the door rubbing her eyes and when she sees me, immediately closes it again.

"Noelia-" I start but she interrupts.

"Look Declan, I appreciate this but I just got out of the hospital yesterday dude, I need to recover and I don't really feel like your forgiveness right now" she explains, muffled a bit by the door.

It feels like a punch in the gut, "I just wanted to say I'm sorry" I whisper.

Silence sits between us and no one says anything for a while.

"I changed our training back to normal by the way" I don't wait for her to say anything before I set off.

I leave the things outside her door and walk past Camille, who is still shocked silly, to the lift that takes me back down to my dorm.

It hurt to see her face when she saw me, it punctured my heart and I couldn't even do anything about it. She obviously needs space, which I didn't understand before, but I do now. Maybe she'll forgive me soon, I hope.

She doesn't show up to her ice skating lesson at all the whole week.

Noelia POV:

Seeing him actually show up outside my room, hurt my heart. I don't know why, but I didn't expect him to show up. When he told me he was sorry, his voice held so much raw emotion, I was so glad there was a door between us, because then he didn't see the tears that escaped my eyes. I wanted to forgive him, I did, he's the only person who's ever even bothered to do something like that, but I'm not ready, I just got out of a two day coma for God's sake.

The things he left me made me sob even more. My favourite coffee, a caramel latte, some beautiful flowers that I have on display in my room, and some sour patch kids, not my favourites but it's the thought that counts. The fact that he bothered to go out of his way to do this for me made me cry. I don't know if it was because I hurt my head, but crying has been quite common today.

All week throughout lessons all I could think about was what he did for me. What was waiting for me at the end of the week hurt my soul, and I never expected it to come.

It's Friday night and my phone rings, it's an unknown number so I don't pick up. The next weird thing is that it leaves a voicemail, which isn't usual for unknown numbers. I decide to listen to it and the contents of it makes me tear up. It's from Declan and he says;

"Oh god * he sighs* i'm so sorry Noelia *pause* i didn't realise you would get hurt and i feel terrible it's all my fault and the truth is *pause* i just wanted you to watch me play *he pauses and lowers his voice* i'm so sorry *pause* truly"

The voicemail cuts of and I just stare at my phone, but then I get up and I just run.

I run until I reach the lift and then realise I have no idea where I'm going so I text Cami and she replies to me with this:

Camiiiiii <3333: 503

I press level five as my fingers drum on the railing inside the lift. Can it take any longer! As soon as the doors open I run till I arrive at my destination, 503.

*knock* *knock*

My nerves are nauseating, and regret starts to seep in after there seems to be no movement behind the door. The door is very worn, it has scratches along the bottom from what seems like hockey sticks that perhaps have scrapped the side. No one answers so I start to give up, but before I turn to leave, I hear the door unlock. The nob turns and I am faced with Declan.

Shock can't begin to describe what colours his face,
"Noelia?" he whispers, eyes wide.

"Declan" I whisper back, giving him a shy smile.

Before anyone says anything, I reach up on my tiptoes and wrap my hands around his neck.

He gasps softly, as his head burrows into my shoulder.

"Thank you" I whisper in his ear and hold him for a little longer before I pull away and walk slowly back to the lift.

He doesn't follow, and I don't expect him to, his face when he saw me was all I wanted to see.

Maybe I don't mind Declan being around.
