Taehyung was sitting alone in his chambers, giving depressed sighs every now and then as he tried to complete all the work assigned to him. His mind was half focused, though, and was struggling to push away thoughts of a certain bunny-like deity.
Just then, the curtains of his doorway rustled and someone rushed in. 'Teahyungie!' His Junkook squealed excitedly. Taehyung glanced at Jungkook and knew him well enough to understand that he had found something exciting and wanted to show it to him.
Taehyung wanted to tease him though and turned back to his work with feigned ignorance. Kookie grabbed his arm and tugged at it furiously. 'I want to show you something! Come, come!' With a lot of pretended reluctance, Taehyung agreed to be dragged to his feet and pulled out of his chambers.
As soon as they were out, Jungkook left his arm and ran, trusting him enough to follow. So Taehyung ran behind him as fast as he could. They had taken off their shoes to feel more connected to their surroundings, and their bare feet whipped across the green grass.
Taehyung kept his eye on Kookie the whole time, admiring his beautiful face illuminated by the glowing sunlight. Kookie kept turning back and laughing, urging Tae to follow, and it took Taehyung's breath away at how ethereal he looked.
At one point, he tripped on the grass because he'd been too busy admiring his bunny. Jungkook heard a thud and turned around to find him sprawled on the floor and ran to him, shaking his head and picking him up.
'You need to be more careful, Taehyungie.' He admonished him. Tae smiled back, and they continued running till they reached the pace Jungkook wanted to show him. Taehyung's eyes widened at the sight.
It was truly heavenly, that waterfall. It wasn't big and powerful, not really. It was a cute little thing, with water flowing delicately on its path. The waterfall was nestled between huge black rocks and was framed by plants of all possible shapes, colours and sizes. The leaves ranged from light green to the deepest green.
Flowers of every colour in the rainbow bloomed with exuberance. As if this wasn't enough, the clear sky was visible above the waterfall, a pure blue, untainted without a single cloud in it. Taehyung had no words as he turned to Jungkook, who was eagerly bouncing next to him. He simply hugged him and sighed in his ear. 'Oh, Kookie.'
Kookie hugged him back, then pulled away and beamed. His eyes were sparkling with a burning intensity as he said excitedly 'This isn't all. There's something else I want to show you.'
He put his arm around Taehyung and they walked to the waterfall. Jungkook slipped in through a barely noticeable crack in between the rocks. He beckoned to Tae, then turned and walked in.
Tae quickly followed him to another stunning sight. Kookie had found a way to enter behind the waterfall into the damp cave hidden by it. The cave itself had millions of crystals crowding its top, giving the whole place a delightful sparkle.
Taehyung gave a chuckle and started jumping around excitedly. Junkook too laughed and joined in, both of them playing in the light spray given by the waterfall. After a while, Jungkook sneezed repeatedly.
Taehyung looked around quickly and dragged him to the only dry spot in the cave. It was barely enough for one person to stand, but they both adjusted. Taehyung pulled out a napkin he carried around with him and began drying Kook's hair.
'Ah, I'm fine Hyung. Don't worry.' He mumbled, but Tae ignored him and continued rubbing until he deemed it properly dry. When he put it back in his pocket, he realised that they were standing incredibly close. His heart raced as he saw Jungkook stare at him with the same realisation. On some strange, subconscious instinct, he leaned forward slightly.
If Jungkook didn't respond, he would lean away and pretend it never happened. But to his surprise, Kookie shuffled forward till they were so close Taehyung could count every eyelash in kook's eyes. They kept leaning forward hesitatingly
Until their lips finally met in blissful ecstasy. Both closed their eyes and savoured the moment. His lips are so soft, Tae thought distractedly before they had to come up for air. Panting, they looked at each other.
No words were needed to communicate. Their eyes said everything. Then Jungkook leaned forward and kissed him again. They kept enjoying each other's presence till Tae realised that it had gotten quite late and they needed to get back.
He sighed regretfully and led Jungkook out of the place and ran home. Jungkook gave him a goodnight kiss and he rushed back into his chamber and scurried into bed, quickly covering himself with a blanket and closing his eyes to pretend he had been sleeping there the whole time.
But before he could sleep, he sneezed a couple of times and realised that his nose was also running. Shit, hyung's going to kill me, he thought to himself. That thought was quickly put out, though, as he remembered their kisses. Kookie's mine now, he thought as love blossomed in his chest, only mine. The last thing he remembered before he fell asleep was his Kookie's sweet lips on his.
