I just stayed silent when I heard that, why talk? It was the word of a CEO against mine, I sighed looking at Jennie and then grabbed her hand and bowing to walk to the kitchen feeling the gaze of the two sisters towards us.
-Jennie, darling, don't cry - I tried to calm her down but more and more tears just came out of her eyes, I hugged her tightly and kissed her head trying to convey all my love and support, I know I must have been sad too but right now I was more focused on my best friend - wait here honey - I said seeing how she nodded slightly when I approached the dining room they began to hear shouts.

The next morning
-Are you sure you are alright? -I asked Jennie holding her hair, my best friend had already thrown up for the third time- can we go to the hospital?I suggested to her but she denied taking water to her mouth to make the smell of having vomited disappear.
-I'm fine, it must have been the ice cream we ate last night - I pursed my lips a little doubtfully but I just nodded to leave the bathroom and go to prepare two cups of coffee - I hope we are doing the right thing - I told her reminding her that today we were going to resign, She pushed the coffee cup away from her lips and rested her head in the palm of his hand.
-We are doing the right thing, we will let them honor their father and go on with their lives and we with ours, you will be a great bilingual and I will be a super Kinder teacher - We both laughed for a few seconds, seconds that made us forget our special person for a moment because even though Jennie says she's fine a thousand times, she's not, the same happens with me but we hide it with maturity and chocolate ice cream.
Jennie pov

My hands began to tremble just like my lip, I looked behind me meeting the gaze of Rose who was with her mouth ajar.
