Your heart was beating 50 miles an hour. ' Did I really just kiss the PHANTOM!!' You thought to yourself. You shook your head and got dressed. You put on another outfit that Madame Giry gave you and headed out to the main stage. As soon as you enter the stage you are met with a swarm of ballerinas and Madame Giry. " Where were you Y/n? We were worried about you." One of them said. You wanted to tell them about his lair, but you were assuming there was a reason it was underground, so you lied. " I needed to clear my head. I was feeling sick so I stayed at a hotel for 3 days until I felt better." Madame Giry saw straight through your lie, but went along with it.
" Well we are all glad you are feeling better. Come, I will help you with everything you missed." " Thank you Madame." You and Madame Giry head back to your room. " So, are you going to tell me what actually happened, or am I going to have to get the information somewhere else?" She said crossing her arms. "I don't understand what you mean." You say. " You know exactly what I'm talking about. You weren't sick." You sigh, you had to tell her. " Okay, fine. I passed out in my room and the Phantom kept me in his lair until I woke up." Her expression softened. " Thank you for telling me. If he was in any way rude to you tell me, I will chastise him for it." You laugh a little. " There's no need for that, He was completely hospitable."
Madame Giry nodded. " Good. But if he causes any trouble, tell me." " Don't worry, I will." You and Madame Giry practiced for 3 hours until you were completely caught up and could do the steps and sing the lyrics perfectly. " By the way, there will be a masquerade later today, I hope you will attend, I will give you one of my old dresses and a mask you can shape and decorate any way you want." She said before she left. When you finished it was 12:00, so you flopped on your bed and took a much needed nap. When you woke up It was 4:00, so you walked around the Theater and on top of the roof to gaze at the beautiful city of Paris, and all of its glory. You were staring at the Eiffel Tower when you heard a light thump behind you. You turned around and saw no one so you looked back at the Eiffel Tower.
" Masquerade, paper faces on parade.
Masquerade, hide your face, so the world will never find you!
Masquerade, Every face a different shape,
Masquerade, Look around, there's another mask behind you!"
As you finish that part, you hear a voice coming from behind you.
" Why so silent, good Messieurs? Did you think that I had left you for good?
Have you missed me, good Messieurs?I have written you an opera
Here I bring the finished score, Don Juan Triumphant!
I advise you to comply, My instructions should be clear
Remember there are worse things than a shattered chandelier"
It was The Phantom's voice. You spun around and saw him wearing a Red Death costume. There were butterflies in your stomach. ' Wow, he looks really good in that outfit. Red is Definitely his color.' You think to yourself. He slowly approaches you. You just stare in awe at his outfit and how it compliments his features. " I was hoping to see you at the Masquerade later tonight. Do you think you'll be going?" He asks as he stops in front of you. You break out of your trance and answer him.
" Yes, actually. Madame Giry is going to lend me a mask and dress. I've never been to a Masquerade before so hopefully it's going to be amazing." Your eyes light up at the thought of the Masquerade. You start to walk towards the door. " Well I should probably get going so I can make my mask compliment my outfit for the Masquerade." " Okay then I'll see you later." As you open the door, you turn to face him. " Will I see you there?" You ask. "Well, I hope I'll be getting a dance out of this evening, I'm curious to see your outfit." You smirk " Only If you can find me" And with that you walk back into the building not looking back once.
